Ripped off at Painawa (aka Carmen Verandah Resort)
Pros:

Cons:

Our reservation for a family room was made in Oct 2025, and was fully paid in advance. On 11 Dec they confirmed by phone that payment had been received. But upon arrival (13 Dec) we were told that the hotel was full! Management spun us an unlikely (and fraudulent) story - that an unknown person had phoned and changed the date of our reservation!
We were then driven to a nearby lower grade hotel, which then made up for us a musty smelling room.
An independent source later

confirmed that management at Verandah/Painawa has done the same thing before.

There's always water interruption, personnel came
always late for breakfast. There's no good maintenance when it comes

A place to turn off the cell phone and just relax!
Pros:

Very friendly helpful staff I guess, Friendliness is in the Filipino's blood this is based on my experience not all here in the Philippines, but also in the United States. I enjoyed the ocean view from this property, very quite, the in house restaurant offers very tasty food as well for an affordable price. Early morning on my way to the airport while riding and setting on the back of the motorcycle I could smell the "fresh AIR" I wish I could be there now.

It was well and it catches the gap time for travel since the destination was distant.
Pros:

It is convenient place to stay especially when ur tired and want to rest and head the following day onto your destination.

Cons:

Airconditioner was not that cold.
