The ambience
Water pressure was low
Beautiful little studio full of light and facing a garden. Very nice and comfy. Internet does not work all the time but otherwise great value for money in a nice area.
No nets, no strong internet
Very friendly stuff. Food service quick. Food tasty
In the morning there was no water from shower
Very quiet and relaxing part of a well connected area. Great location for Nairobi National Park, Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Centre and Karne Blixon museum. I loved the flexibility of choosing to cook in my room or order food from the hotel restaurant. A nice malls nearby that I could everything I wanted.
The facilities need updating and I would have liked for the bathroom to have been cleaned better. But staff were helpful in addressing my concerns.
Professionalism
Nothing
Very quiet rooms. Nice staff, especially Michael doing his best to meet our request
Checking out, the promised discount was not given. We'd made an agreement with Hussain, which he denied. Make sure you'll get it in black and white or pay first
Great location. It’s an old big grand hotel.
Needs bit TLC
We stayed in the executive suites, which were quite pleasant and comfortable, and gave us space to work or relax. The grounds (which we could observe from our private balconies) are beautiful and peaceful. Every staff person we interacted with was incredibly kind, responsive, and eager to make our stay wonderful. Thank you, Hussein, Michael, Elvis, Anna, Lucy, as well as the guard at the gate. We also interacted some with the managers, Job, and a woman whose name I did not get. They were very kind and accommodating as well. The staff anticipated our needs and provided accordingly, including going above and beyond what we would have expected. All of the food was good, including breakfast made to order and the off-menu homemade pizza. My colleagues and I would gladly stay again. This is also a nice place with meeting rooms, event venue options, etc. that we might use in the future.
This is not really negative, but just an FYI: The hotel is under new management, and is therefore under renovation. We were never bothered by noise, but saw them working hard on upgrades. Also, it used to be called Sakinas Luxury Suites. I only mention that because in my searches for information or location, I found both names, and it took me a little while to figure out they were the same place. I know they're in the process of cleaning that up online, so I imagine that won't be an issue for long.
The hotel was renamed. Booking and Google still show it under the old name. The drivers cannot find the hotel because of this. The pool. The suite is not 150 m2. Only 50 m2.
The break fast is good and the location of the hotel is great too.
Internet service is not available on the rooms.
There was very little to like about this hotel.
They have hot water.
The bed was hard as a rock. The food was undercooked and bland. The bathroom was not clean. It is very noisy at night making it difficult to sleep.
The hotel charged me double the cost for my stay and promised a refund and never issued it. I checked out early and the owner never kept his word on refunding the nights that were not used.
This place is a rip off. Do not pre-pay for a room here. The owner looked me right in the eyes and promised a refund for overcharging me by $910 USD. He stole my money. I have been trying to reconcile this issue for weeks and the hotel owner is fraudulent and criminal.
I will tell everyone going to Kenya to stay somewhere else, this place is not reputable.
This hotel and the owner are deplorable, despicable, horrible and absolutely egregious. They will steal your money and lie to you.
Good location close to national park in nice neighbourhood. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very flexible with breakfast and dinner with table service (no buffet) with plenty options. Value for money.
The wifi was very poor and did not reach a stable signal in the rooms. The beds were a little on the hard side. The bathroom was very old and the towels hard and not very comfortable. The garden (view) is a little oversold as this isn't so much a garden as a tiny strip of green alongside the property.
It’s a nice big clean well kept property that is quite close to the giraffe center as well as other landmarks.
The breakfast is really wholesome and abundant, Chef Joseph is a sweet man and fed us with love. The restaurant servers, Anna and Micheal, were thoughtful and caring.
The front desk staff, Lucy and manager Job were very helpful and kind.
The housekeeper Rosy took great care of us and made sure we were comfortable.
It’s not well maintained. Covid took a toll and the torrential rains the two weeks i was there made things worse. In the room i stayed in, they need to repair ceiling for leaks, their generator needed to be repaired, the AC needs repair, light bulbs needed to be replaced, the hot water didn’t work on some days, the water stopped working because of rain damage to their plumbing. Having said that, they fixed most issues right away, they were caring and concerned for our safety and well being and they made every effort to make us comfortable. Extremely nice staff.
