It is not a safe place.my items were stolen.there is no manager.
The staff was nice, I think they really tried their best.
When we were checking in at about 10:00 PM, there was only one room boy at the so-called 24/7 reception, who did not really speak English, so we did not get to know from him where and when can we have breakfast in the morning.
There was no toilet paper in our room when we arrived and right after the check-in, the reception got closed. We texted to the given whatsup number but there was no reply. When we called the number, they handed over one roll of toilet paper which was not packed in, seemed like it is not a brand new one.
The bedsheet was full with stains and rice-like things, I hope it was rice and not insects, but we will never know. It looked disgusting so we slept on our own towels, as the towels provided by the hotel were also not the cleanest or softest ones. The pillowsheet was stained on one side and torn apart on the other side.
Next morning we could find noone at the reception, and could not find the breakfast area either. When we called the whatsup number I could barely understand the instructions and got more and more annoyed. Then a lady came and showed us the breakfast area which is in the building next to the hotel. The staff was very nice, but at this point only a very good breakfast could have calmed me down, which was not really the case. The breakfast was one omlette with toasts, no meat, no cold cuts, no sausages, no cheese, no vegetables, no gravy, nothing. We needed to choose whether to drink tea or coffee, no soft drinks. There was also jam and fruit but no pastrys. The picture of the breakfast currently on booking is a SCAM, the photo was taken at Hotel Pinnalanda. 100% sure, as we have stayed there too.
Check-out was also not the smoothest, we needed to look for the people to whom we can give the keys and the money for our stay. Card terminal was not working first, but if you insist it will work finally, or at least for us that was the case.
Shane and their Chef Anurath were very kind, helpful and funny when we met them and spent evening together with them.

prime location. Next to elephant orphanage and walking distance to the Ipareni gama, zoo and elephants bathing place in river side. The room was very clean and super comfortable bed.

Large room & bath room with hot water. Very clean. Well organised. Friendly & helpful staff.
Pretty clean, good AC, nobody was bothering me in the room. There was a tv, a small fridge, a nice big bed and hot water.
Hostel is 'opened' from both sides of the room so there were a lot of noises from animals and people because the main parking in the village is just outside. WiFi was not working half the time
My sons and myself really liked the elephant orphanage which was really close to the hotel. very friendly and attentive staff, we would recomend anybody who wish to visit the elephant orphanage mostly we enjoyed the stay.
there was nothing to complain.
