Probably will end up being one of the best ever villas I stayed at in terms of view. The pool view of the jungle is genuinely breathtaking - this alone was one of the main attractions of choosing Portobello Villa Ubud. The sounds of birds chirping in the morning and night is something out of a movie. The location is slightly away from central ubud, but the grab/gojeks meant that we could take a nice 10 min breezy and scenic route down to the main town. The staff are a delight and always happy to help and can answer any questions/requests via WhatsApp. Breakfast is included which is great, unfortunately you cannot have it in your villa and you have to eat breakfast in the common table area by reception but that wasn’t an issue for us. The options were lovely and we particularly enjoyed the watermelon and banana juices and Nasi Goreng. We didn’t know what to expect from the breakfast, but it was excellent and very convenient as it meant we didn’t have to walk or grab a scooter ride into the centre to grab breakfast elsewhere.
Some small drawbacks was the weak Wi-Fi (I wouldn’t rely on it that often and found myself having to switch to my eSIM mobile data). Also I wasn’t really fond of the mosquito net which is attached to the ceiling which hangs over the bed, during sleep it sometimes felt very intrusive while sleeping as it hangs very narrowly over the bed perimeter. These are very small negatives to note but they are not enough for me to affect the overall score.

We really enjoyed the experience of being in a villa in the middle of the jungle.
The villa was really good with plenty of space and a wonderful private pool.
The people from the villa are really kind helping us in everything we needed. All the requests were made via whatsapp, and the prices are really cheap (massages and meals). The massages are incredible, we recommend it.
Μείναμε στη βίλα 6 με ιδιωτική πισίνα για την επέτειο μας. Όλα ήταν τέλεια. Η τοποθεσία σε ήσυχο μέρος με όχι ιδιαίτερη κίνηση, αλλά δεν έχει σημασία γιατί οι βίλες είναι μακρυά από τον δρόμο. Το ξενοδοχείο είναι μέσα στην φύση με πολλά φυτά και πολλή βλάστηση στο εξωτερικό μέρος της πισίνας. Για κάποιον που έχει θέμα να δει κάνα μυρμήγκι κατά την διάρκεια της μέρας ή να ακούσει κάποιο ζώο το βράδυ δεν θα του αρέσει. Όποιος του αρέσει η φύση είναι το κατάλληλο μέρος. Το προσωπικό ευγενικό και μάλιστα την μέρα που δεν είχαμε χρόνο για πρωινό επειδή είχαμε κλείσει φωτογράφηση ενδιαφέρθηκαν από μόνοι τους για ποιο λόγο και μας έφτιαξαν δύο κουτάκια με κάποια βασικά πράγματα από την προηγούμενη, για να μην ξεκινήσουμε την μέρα νηστικοί. Το ξενοδοχείο αυτή την περίοδο κάνει μια μικρή επέκταση. Πιστεύω μόλις τελειώσει θα είναι ακόμα πιο όμορφο.
Λίγο η τουαλέτα κουνιόταν από την θέση της, αλλά είναι κάτι που το αναφέραμε και θα το φτιάξουν. Δεν ήταν κάτι σημαντικό.

Very nice villa, staff was very welcoming and helpful. All staff were super helpful in everything we asked, they were very accommodating.
Room is a bit dark could do with more lighting but it could also be quite romantic, air con was loud but staff tried to help to fix the issue, we end up just using the fan. There was a lot of mosquito so bring repellant!! Only felt safe from it when you’re in the mosquito net so couldn’t really relax but we were out most of the day and only return to sleep. Would have been nice to be notified that they were renovating the reception area - at first arriving quite late felt a bit worried that we booked a false accommodation.
