The staff were very welcoming and friendly and really helped us out a lot with storage for a wheelchair so we didn’t have to take it up and down stairs. Whenever you went into the reception there was always a hello and asking how we were, which felt like a nice personal touch.
The WiFi connection was a little iffy so we couldn’t use the Netflix or watch YouTube on the tv but apart from that everything else was fantastic
Location was excellent and staff extremely helpful and friendly
Hotel/room needs upgraded for the price you are paying. Not usual RAD group standards like Lochside Hotel or Radstone Hotel. Our shower didnt work...either extremely hot or freezing cold.
Comfortable rooms good shower, good location
Price was too expensive
Large carnegie suite nice but very dark and no sea view we had hoped there was and didnt check this out
Also lots of rubbish and napkins under the sofa
Carpet needs replaced alot of noise and very creaky floor boards next to kitchen and pool would NOT choose this room maybe others
Plastic cups no glasses no robes no slippers no extra touches poor
Cleanliness
Dark room
No windows and dark grey inside
Great location
The room we were allocated was lovely apart from it having no natural light coming in. Only had a tiny window which was covered by a tree.
Overall the property provided me with a pleasant stay. I was disappointed however that I didn't receive a more positive response to a request I made on arrival for secure storage to be made available for my relatively high value bicycle which I regarded as a key part of my cycling holiday. I had to work hard to negotiate access to an area behind an unlocked gate at the hotel having been told by front of house that my bike would be perfectly secure locked to a sign outside the front reception area. In all other areas, staff were helpful and attentive. However, I won't be recommending the hotel to other touring colleagues owing to the reception outlined above.
Room could really be doing with a fridge
Plenty of choice including gluten free which suited my wife. We considered other of options in the town for evening meals but got just as good if not better value in the hotel and because my wife is disabled, it was more convenient.
The shower was sometimes temperamental in that it would run cool for a couple of seconds, and a grab handle inside the cubicle would have been helpful for my wife.
The size of the room was good also the ensuite was beautiful. The grounds looked well kept , it was roughly a 10 minute walk into the town centre which was a bonus.
The room was cold in the evening and even turning up the radiators didn't bring the heating on. Although the ensuite was beautiful the shower didn't work well, the water would go cold the all of a sudden it would be boiling to the point you had to step back. When we told the receptionist on our day of leaving, she said she that she knew about this and thought they were waiting on parts. Well !! why rent a room out if they knew this. The duvet needs replacing the filling was all lumpy.
