Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms clean and modern. Good food.

A very nice little hotel. My room was lovely and very comfortable. The landlord was very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here as I will again if in the area.

A most excellent stay at The GameBird where our host Daren was absolutely fantastic with a warm welcome and looking after us with advice on the local amenities. Just one very minor hiccup as the shower didn’t get too warm but that certainly would not stop us from a return. Absolutely loved it and loved Beverley too. 😁

I cancelled the booking late due to room being downgraded by management.
Therefore did not stay.

Everything just as you'd expect and to a good standard. Comfortable, plenty of space, good wi-fi and a strong hot shower. I didn't try the food as breakfast isn't until 7:30 which was too late for me but otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

We have stayed in all types of accommodation all around the world and this was by far the worst experience we’Ve had. At no time was there anyone at the reception desk. We had to leave notes to get toilet paper replaced. In 4 days, no one entered our room. No clean towels, no clean coffee cups, no bed made.

Lovely pub/hotel recently refurbished with great taste, run by a small team. All staff absolutely charming, food fairly plain but extremely plentiful, location a little further out than we anticipated, but reliable taxis procured on request. A good above average stay which we shall repeat when next in the area.

The bedrooms were lovely, absolutely spotless and very comfortable. The property it a tale of two halves as the pub below is a typical drinking local, so difficult to match the two together.

Redecorating almost finished and will be good. Owners are dedicated to please

We have stayed at the Gamebird a few times now in the last 3 years or so it says it a 24 hour reception we arrived at 1430 and the place was locked and notice saying open at 4pm this is not very helpful when you travelled along way. Dad's room was nice apart from the draft at the head of the bed he didn't get much sleep nor did I due to the mattress springs in the morning we were given a full English breakfast which I might add was very nice but there was no choice you were just given it (what if you only want toast 😂 or your a veggie) but having said all this great folk running it hope they get the wee bits and bobs sorted out and it will be a fantastic wee place to stay

The rooms are beautifully appointed and furnished at this pub/ hotel - way more in keeping with a luxury hotel. The landlords are incredibly welcoming. I had a truly enjoyable stay.
