Good place near Egmore
Pros:

It was in a very convenient neighborhood, well equipped.

Cons:

The scent was really too intense, probably due to the adjacent Kuuvam river.

Mixed feelings for my stay.. It was okay..
Pros:

I came to Chennai to attend an exam with a friend . We booked 2 rooms, both for 3 days. The staff were very helpful, understanding and always with a smile. Even though the menu at the restaurant was limited due to the LPG shortage while we were staying at the hotel, the hotel made sure food was available at all times. The food was tasty and upto the mark. The food took a little too long to be prepared and served, but the delay was understandable with the LPG shortage. The rooms were very clean.

Cons:

The room (702) which I was staying, even though very clean, felt a bit old. Especially the bathroom, with an older kind of setup. It felt like it didn't meet the standard I was hoping for in the Ramada brand. But the room in which my friend was staying (701) was upto the mark you expect from Ramada.

Van goed naar middelmatig
Pros:

Het personeel, er zaten heel aardige en behulpzame mensen tussen die hun best deden om de missers van anderen weer recht te zetten.

Cons:

Het restaurant was beduidend slechter dan de vorige jaren, er was een echtpaar uit de UK dat er ook over klaagde, en ze waren niet van plan ooit nog in dit hotel terug te komen. Besteld eten en drinken kwamen niet, het buffet had alleen kip met bot, de visschotel was bedorven, de keuken was duidelijk niet op Westerlingen ingesteld, dat was vroeger veel beter. De kamer was om 16u nog niet schoongemaakt. Er stonden feestelijke poorten als versiersel waar je onderdoor moest, maar die waren zo laag dat ik er met mijn 1m.90 mijn hoofd hard aan stootte en zelfs open haalde. Op mijn klacht over mijn letsel werd er gezegd dat ze er iets mee gingen doen, maar dat was een pertinente leugen. Er werd zelfs geen pleister aan besteed. We hadden dezefde kamer als eerdere jaren, maar het extra toilet was verdwenen, de ruimte was dichtgetimmerd. Eén vd damestoiletten in de hal beneden spoelde niet door en iemand had er een grote boodschap in achtergelaten. Al met al was het hotel eerst heel veel beter, maar het is hard achteruit gegaan, erg teleurstellend.

Pros:

Not a lot. To get away from the hotel

Cons:

The restaurant was very disappointing as there was little choice for European guests. We were forced to use the buffet menu at lunchtime when we asked for a snack menu and were then charged the full amount for our meal when we contested it.
There wear only two sun loungers by the pool which were always occupied when we tried to use them. This is not good for a hotel of this size

Shame about the rooftop bar
Pros:

The staff were good as was the room

Cons:

The hotel was chosen because of the rooftop poolside bar. Day one, poolside bar and restaurant closed for children's party, next day closed for another function! I get the impression that this facility is now only available for functions. Many other guests also complaining! The other bar is too cold and too brightly lit!
