Good location and modern design, with room for improvement
Pros:

El Destino has a very central location, making it easy to explore Hiriketiya and the surrounding area. The design of the rooms is modern and stylish, which gives the hotel a fresh and trendy feel. Overall, it offers good value for money and is fairly priced for what you get.

Cons:

The white curtains let in a lot of light, and from around 5:30 AM the room becomes very bright, making it difficult to sleep longer. Blackout curtains would really improve the comfort. The breakfast was unfortunately disappointing. We tried it on the first morning, but decided to have breakfast elsewhere on the following days.

Very clean and nice Hotel with great location
Pros:

Super clean and nice room - one if the nicest we had during our trip through Sri Lanka. The Hotel in general is very nice with a great location making it easy to reach Hiriketiya Beach and Dickwella Beach with a short walk and also very friendly staff! Breakfast from the Menu was delicious!!

Cons:

One morning they had a buffet breakfast with local breakfast instead of the menu. While we love Sri Lankan breakfast and had it many times, the buffet just wasn‘t super fresh and some things were a bit cold. And even though we like spicy, for breakfast it was a little to spicy. So the idea of trying something local is great, but would be great if it would be just as fresh as the food from the menu. :)

Pros:

Posizione comoda, tutto è facilmente raggiungibile a piedi. Proprietario molto gentile e disponibile. Terrazza delle colazioni vista mare molto suggestiva.

Cons:

Le camere sono trascurate, abbiamo trovato diverse macchie su tende, tappeti e asciugamani e tante macchie di umido. Servizio lavanderia non adeguato, dei capi sono stati rovinati e altri persi (errore nostro che alla partenza dalla fretta non abbiamo ricontrollato tutto)

Ik had moeten reserveren bij smoke and bitter nu was er geen tafeltje voor ons alle 3 de dagen. Jammer want schijnt echt fantastisch te zijn en maar 5 minuten looen van hotel terwijl mensen naar Sri Lanka vliegen om daar te eten en te drinken

A lovey hotel with very friendly staff - would recommend
Pros:

A really clean and well presented hotel room, very spacious with some lovely financing touches. A lovely bathroom as well.
The staff were really helpful and attentive and the breakfast is lovely on the roof terrace with a wonderful view.
We made some changes to our stay while we were there and the staff could not have been more helpful.

Sehr zentrale Unterkunft
Pros:

Die Unterkunft liegt 5min zu Fuss vom Strand entfernt. Dort gibt es sehr viele Restaurants und Bars wo man sich durch den Tag und auch am Abend verweilen kann. Das Zimmer war für 2 Personen und eine Nacht perfekt. Das Frühstück haben wir nicht ausprobiert.

Cons:

Die Unterkunft ist recht ringhörig. Das war der einzige negative Punkt.

Net hotel op toplocatie in Hireketiya
Pros:

Heel net, nieuw hotel op een perfecte locatie in Hiriketiya. Precies tussen de twee baaien in. Nette kamers, prima ontbijt.

Wouldn't stay here again
Pros:

Our stay at El Destino was good but ended badly (see below). The hotel is placed on top of a hill between Hiriketiya Beach and Dickwella Beach, and everything is walking distance. The room was comfortable overall.

Cons:

Unfortunately, our stay in Hiriketiya ended on quite a low note as we noticed on check-out day that 30.000 rupees in cash were missing from our room. As there was no safe provided, we did not have the opportunity to lock away the cash we left in the room. We do not feel the receptionist took this seriously at all. It felt very uncomfortable to know that someone had been in our room without our knowledge or permission. If you stay here, keep your cash on you at all times.

A lovely stay overall
Pros:

Lovely spacious and very clean rooms.
Locations is between both Hiriketiya and Dickwella which are both walking distance.
The breakfast was the best, you choose from a menu and it’s freshly made for you.
Water in rooms and cleaned daily.

Cons:

The doors are paper thin, you can hear everything that is happening in the hotel.
From Hiriketiya beach it is up a fairly steep hills so even though it’s a 5 min walk it’s up and down a steep hill.
Also rooms are only accessible by stairs.

Pros:

I have never in my life had such an amazing experience with accommodation and staff. I booked the entire hotel for a group of 12 girls. The staff consisted only of men, which I was a little nervous about at first, but it turned out they were the most wonderful people who could have taken care of us. Incredible professionalism, respect, helpfulness, and friendliness. We felt even better here than at home. Everything was constantly spotless and smelled beautifully. We even asked for their incense sticks and packed some to take home with us. The breakfasts were excellent. We grew very fond of the staff and became friends. Words cannot describe how incredibly good each and every one of us felt here.

Thank you Farook, Peheth, Chamika, Tharu, Nalaka! We miss this place so much, and if we ever return to Hiriketiya, this will be the only place for us.

Pros:

Närheten till både Hiriketiya och Dickwella beach, frukosten (beställa från meny), stora fina rum, städning varje dag.

Good spot in Hiriketiya away from the noise :)
Pros:

Great location, nice rooms with good storage. Nice staff thanks!

Cons:

Breakfast was a little hot up on the roof so needed to get there early to get a spot in the shade. Breakfast itself was nice but not special
