Marldon Olympia Hotel

Reception was not available at 15:00 had to wait to be checked in; also the rooms is not sound proof; I could hear everyone coming in and out and also all sort of activities in the other rooms until late night, but the worst part is the way they clean the rooms; it looks clean but then you feel everything is cover in some sort of layer of whatever product they use that makes things slightly slippery as well as sticky; it is very unpleasant, had to use either shoes inside or wall on top of the towels that I put on the floor.

The shower was dreadful and was only a trickle. There was a strong smell of mustiness being in the basement, which was supposed to be a better room as the one we booked online didn’t show on their booking system when we arrived.

No milk didn't reply to messages then decided ld have black tea better than nothing kettle didn't work. Bathroom door very poorly fitted considering l paid for deluxe room god knows what the budget would be like definitely not value for extra money

I'm not sure if all the rooms are the same but the top floor room I was in was extremely warm throughout the night. The fan provided wasn't the best even on the highest setting so an upgrade would be a good idea

- À l'étage, tout le système de chaufferie en face des chambres chauffe l'étage ainsi que le système de plomberie dans les murs qui irradie dans la chambre (L'hiver cela doit être sympathique mais pas au printemps/été quand on rentre dans la chambre se rafraîchir) Le miroir de la salle de bain était bouillant.
- Autre problème de plomberie, la chambre a été inondée un matin. Aucune explication de la part du personnel
- Aucune aide ni solution n'a été apporté par la cheffe d'établissement uniquement joignable par téléphone quand elle veut bien répondre.

C'est dommage car cette maison/hôtel aurait pu une bonne adresse bon marché, mais au moindre problème vous êtes seuls à gérer

Servizio assolutamente inesistente, come lo staff che di fatto non esiste. In 3 giorni nessuno si è mai affacciato in camera per portare un telo o magari fare un cambio lenzuola o dare una spazzata al pavimento. Assolutamente niente.
Questa struttura non si può classificare come hotel, ma è solo un semplice affittacamere.

La pulizia

Staff was not very accessible, no staff at certain hours and sometimes delays in responses but they did respond and were very kind. The room was very small.

Wij hadden een kamer op de bovenste verdieping en dat was op de vierde verdieping zonder lift .De was tafel kraan en de wc bril zaten los dat was bekend maar wordt niks aan gedaan werd verteld de handdoeken werden niet verschoond dus je mag 4 dagen met de zelfde doen tevens werden de koffie en thee ook niet bij gevuld jammer genoeg was er ook geen airconditioning dus ivm de hittegolf was het340 graden plus in de kamer gelukkig wel een ventilator

On my last visit, I was assigned a groundfloor room with access to a backyard garden area. The cleaning staff asked if they could walk through my room to gain access to the garden, where there was a shed with a washing machine. There was no other window so through the night I was not able to have fresh air - I am not keen on sleeping with an exit door open! The overall state of the room was not good. The only electrical plug was near floor in the corner, so if you wanted to use the kettle you had to put the kettle on the floor. The chair provided was old and very dirty. The bathroom door did not close properly. The plumbing for the shower is done so poorly that there is no access to cold water - the temperature gets scalding hot almost immediately, making it near impossible to shower. There was no bedside table, lamp or space in the bathroom for one's toiletries. Overall, the space was clean however the maintenance (plumbing, electrical set up, wiring, painting/decorating and install of cabinets, etc) is appalling, leaving one wondering if there is a potential fire hazard due to poor electrical wiring, for example.
On this occasion, I am giving the Mardlon Olympia Hotel a score of 4.

No remote control in the bedroom and had to ask multiple times until the staff member begrudgingly gave me the one for the "staff" room! She said it was always left in the room, I said it clearly wasn't and in such high temperatures in London I wouldn't be going out much so needed a remote control for the television. She tried to blame a member of cleaning staff "who may have taken it home with them" but wasn't answering her phone!!
A nice fan in the room but it was 36 degrees so air con would be a bonus (2 other residents I bumped into where really unhappy about this).
Hairdryer was broken. Could hear a loose part in it and turned it on and a very strong smell of burning so quickly turned it off.
