Friendly with great services and location
Thoughtful array of options in the room - liked the cutlery and serviette packs for people eating takeaway.
Liked the bathroom/toilet with tricky little passageway between. Great shower!

The blind/natural light setup works well.
Lovely linen but the doonas are way too hot. I appreciated the blanket (noted the environmentally exc recycled wool) but had to take the cover off the Doona to use as a sheet as no sheet provided to use with the blanket.
Tea mugs were very small! Tea drinkers need a larger mug.
A bit more info about interesting places to walk around Surry Hills would be good. I didn't know about Athol Beach. Info please! It's an interesting old part of Sydney. I walked up to Oxford Sr but that's grubby and uninteresting.

Noisy in the early morning with the rubbish truck dumping off the bins full of bottles
The lighting in the room is too bright without dimming function or night light, so it was either too bright to sleep or pitch dark feeling uneasy at night

What a fabulous hotel. We stayed in a loft apartment with balcony and it was beyond our expectations. Beautifully styled with everything we needed. Total luxury stay. We had an amazing meal at Nomad only a few mins walk away, and Chin Chin opposite. We had breakfast at AP Bakery on the rooftop and also afternoon drinks. We even grabbed a movie at Golden Age Cinema downstairs. Surrey Hills only a short walk to Bills for breakfast and not too far to Uber around Sydney. Definitely out go-to hotel when in Sydney.
Great location
The bath was really uncomfortable and the shower was tiny and leaked everywhere. Iām a fairly small person and found it tiny. Room was noisy to traffic. Difficult to heat/cool the room because thermostat down stairs and aircon unit upstairs meaning it ended up boiling upstairs and cold downstairs.
Staff treated us so well. They had genuine care and consideration. It was very much appreciated after running in the Sydney Marathon.
The staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel vibe is super cool. Loved the building; rooms; cafe and history. In a good neighbourhood for mooching too.
