Perfect choice for us.
Pros:

Great location and so convenient for buses and rail & ferry connections just across the road.
Lovely old victorian style hotel with very comfortable beds and spacious rooms.. staff were very friendly and helpful and had a great breakfast choice. Special mention for Amelia, our waitress who is a charming young lady.

Cons:

Lounge seating is very uncomfortable and too low.

Comfortable, well placed and friendly.
Pros:

Location is wonderful, lovely views and easy to access the town. Lovely big, bright room.

Cons:

Such a large, bright room but a small double bed! It’s a shame there isn’t a king or twin beds to fill the space as a double just isn’t big enough.

Old and run down, would never go back there!

Cons:

Old and needs updating. Too many steps inside the hotel. Our room was by the kitchen and all we could smell was cooking oil. Room keys could unlock any room and someone entered my son’s room. Coffee shop was not available on the first day as the lady on reception was the only one available she kept telling customers. Breakfast was average. Smelt old and musty. Room was small and so was the bed.

we enjoyed our weekend stay, staff made the difference, they were all chearfull and efficient
Pros:

breakfast, was great, and I don't normally have one. very comfortable bed, a lovely nights sleep. Shower was also very good

Cons:

evening meal was very dense, we were unable to even get halfway! steps to the front door difficult with a stick. a few noisy people in the breakfast room. we don't want to hear all about their night out and the plans for the day
