We stayed here for one evening with my parents and our dog on our way home from Cornwall and had a lovely stay. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches for our dog, especially the water bowl and bag of treats in our room. It’s a comfortable hotel with excellent service. We’d happily stay again.
Location and the hotel itself was fab

We enjoyed our stay overall. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a good location. The staff were friendly, and the room was well presented. Despite the issues mentioned, we had a pleasant stay and appreciated the hotel's facilities and atmosphere.
What we didn't like was arriving after a long drive from London and finding that there was no water provided in the room and no fridge. A bottle of complimentary water would have made guests feel more welcome.
We were also unhappy that the window lock could not be opened, which meant we could not get fresh air into the room.
These may seem like small issues, but they affected our first impression and overall comfort during our stay.
I loved the beautiful garden, the garden room, and the whole hotel had a nice feel about it.
Only negatives were the disappointing evening meal and the unfortunate fire alarm going off when we were asleep culminating in us rushing to the carpark until it was resolved.
The food was excellent, both dinner and breakfast. The staff were friendly and cheerful. The building is well furnished with interesting items. The grounds were well looked after, but it was raining so I did not explore.
The weather!
