The location is just at the station, which is also convenient for going to Shirakawa-go and the hikes. The room was big. The breakfast had many options

Great location clean and comfortable room
Pros:

The location of the hotel is walking distance to the old town and many eateries around the area. The staff at the reception was very helpful, she even help to explain to me the instructions to navigate on my car map and recommended and help to book the good restaurants. She speaks good English and we really appreciate her kindness. The hotel room is spacious and comfortable and we like that the breakfast area is open to all the guests to bring in food and enjoy free beverages from 3pm onwards.

Personeel was erg vriendelijk en het formaat van onze kamer (grote Twin) was perfect om bijv. tegelijkertijd onze koffers open te hebben liggen en dan nog loopruimte over te hebben!

Cons:

De douchekop was op de hoogste stand nog te laag voor ons (1.78 en 1.90m lang), dus moesten we of bukken, of de douchekop uit de standaard halen en hem zo boven ons hoofd houden.
Het ontbijt was prima, maar het was leuk geweest als er meer dagelijks wisselende keuzes waren. Helaas geen plantaardige opties voor zuivel, maar dat vind je hier zelden.

Nice hotel, good value.
Pros:

Very clean and comfortable. Walking distance to many places in Takayama.

Cons:

The room was a bit cold. We wanted heating from the AC, but the central AC has been configured for cooling only, and no one could change that.

Cons:

we got inform when arrive that the SPA is not working , it should be inform before booking , but total experience is good anyway , we just enjoy hot tub inside the room ^^
