Deja Homestay Siargao

Del Carmen is a town very close to Siargao airport ( maybe 12 to 15 minutes on an excellent road ) and has amazing island and mangrove forests stretching out from its urban centre. I liked the property which is just off the main road in a quiet street. The property has an attractive frontage to the road, the staff ( daughter of the owner, a staff member and the owner after she returned from her teaching job ) were all charming and polite and helpful. For a single occupant or a couple the room is attractive and comfortable. I went out first to visit along the the mangrove boardwalk though,as it is the largest mangrove area in the Philippinnes, I recommend hiring a bike to really explore as it is interesting and really gorgeous . The boardwalk is nicely raised, wide enough and stable. So easily good enough for a smooth long ride if you want. I walked for 30 or 40 minutes and it is energising to emerge from a forest area to an extensive stretch of water that channels through then re-enter a more forested area then out again. Later in the evening I visited the nearby port area and there was an Agri Aqua Festival happening so I ended up eating there after buying fresh produce from two of the many stalls whilst chatting with locals - a lovely experience.

It was clean and very comfortable stay. It’s very close to the stores and restaurants nearby. Walking distance for our tour excursion the next day. The staff was very accommodating and helpful about the area.

La anfitriona es una persona amable y servicial.
Del Carmen es un lugar tranquilo desde el que, alquilando una moto o un coche, puedes recorrer toda la isla. Nuestra anfitriona nos facilitó el contacto y así lo hicimos.
Además, prepara unos desayunos deliciosos. También dispone de una biblioteca personal.
El highlight del lugar es su maravillosa gatita, que juega con cualquiera que esté dispuesto a acariciarla.

La chambre est propre et fonctionnelle. L’hôte est d’une gentillesse incroyable et propose de très bons cafés et gaufres. Il y a une laverie juste à côté.

Bien je n’ai passé qu’une nuit pour attendre un avion mais notez qu’à l’aller il n’y a que des Vans qui ne vont pas à Del Carmen. Il faut sortir de l’aéroport pour prendre un TukTuk et échapper à la horde de chauffeurs de Van . L’hôtel m’a trouvé un TukTuk à un prix raisonnable pour le retour car les Vans sont chers pour 1 passagers personne d’autre n’allait à Del Carmen.

El personal es muy amable y simpatica!! Nos daba mucha información y nos cuidó muy bien!! Es un pueblo local muy humilde y seguro. Nos alegra mucho habernos quedado en el pueblecito de Del Carmen y experimentar la cultura local. Si quereis pasar un par de dias en Del Carmen eligiria Deja Homestay!!
