Having to use stairs, TV did not work, breakfast was minimal, noise from the street and blackout curtains didn’t work.
The idea of staying at a historic hotel appealed to me. It attempts to be shabby chic Victorian, but it's pretty shabby.
Giant plastic tub catching rainwater in the main hallway upstairs was hard to get around and filled with nasty, dirty water. Shower looked filthy. Curtain fell off the rod when I tried to close it and I couldn't put it back up. Noisy from the bar across the street. Fan squeaked and shower dripped all night. The whole place looks grungy.
An historic hotel in the historic district of Silver City. Close to shops, restaurants, museum. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. A nice large bathtub/shower combo. Continental breakfast. Staff very helpful. Great value for cost.

The room was very nice (regular suite). The vibe was just what I was looking for -- kinda old wild West glamour.
The air conditioner was not working (I called the desk & the man working came up and fixed it -- it was a breaker issue). The breakfast seemed to be at a different time than I expected -- but I was able to get coffee so it wasn't that big of a deal.

Staff was scarce. More than other visits. I always enjoyed visiting with them.

The hotel was a very nice old hotel and our room was comfortable.
We were told that they locked the front door at 8pm. We came back at 7:30pm and the front door was already locked. I don't know how good breakfast was because it is not served before 8:15am. There was coffee you could make but no hot water. Very disappointing.
