Nothing
Historic building in pleasant grounds
The hotel seems to struggle to maintain a large historic building eg many doors are poorly fitting, plumbing dated, redecoration needed in some places
Mediocre bar food - soggy fish and chips
Main bed had excessively soft mattress
Extra bed was small and rather uncomfortable
The food as always was exceptional
Fan in the room could have been better
Lovely property . Good food
Setting, staff, exceptional service (Yuriy, Joanna on reception), all staff encountered were fabulous, engaging and appeared to genuinely enjoy their role and stunning historic rooms and fabulous food. The afternoon tea scones were the best ever!
Part full teapots which wouldn't allow us 2 cups per pot for £4.50.
Spacious room, wonderful views, stunning grounds. The house itself is a gem and beautifully maintained. Staff wonderful, with a special mention to Nick who was incredibly kind when I was unwell during our stay. Thank you.
Nothing we didn’t like.
Beautiful place. Room was lovely.

Lovely place in a sylvan location with excellent staff and facilities with great food as a bonus! What is not to like!
Lovely Grounds and setting.
I didn't realise it didn't have A/C on one of the hottest days of the year and our room seamed hotter than it was outside or even in the corridor. There was a fan but it made little difference we slept with our door and windows open to try and get some air through the room. Its a very old building but normally old buildings are quite good in hot weather but this was worse than sleeping outside.
Beautiful house and grounds with a long history. Very friendly personnel. Clean and a pleasure just walking around. Easy car parking. Very good breakfast and Bar food.
Unfortunately no aircon to fight the Suffolk heatwave.
