Disappointing stay, if it was possible to change from 2 nights to 1 I would have.
Pros:

The staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The room standard is basic, needs updating. Noisy corridor room and directly over the entrance. Poor door room lock.

Have been a few times before.Was in a double room downstairs for the first time. Breakfast was good and varied although I preferred the scrambled eggs on toast.

The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night.No reason given.

Claremont serves up excellent service as usual.
Pros:

As always, a pleasant greeting on arrival. Room spotless. Large comfortable bed. Breakfast very good. Special shout out for the enthusiastic and personable young chef who cooked and served it! Although on a main road, there was no disturbance from traffic. Very enjoyable stay. This is our go-to hotel when staying in Preston. Highly recommended.

I did not have breakfast as I visited family were I had dinner, lunch and following morning breakfast, but all good

Cons:

There was not enough shampoo or shower gel, but as I got very late to the hotel I did not bother. It would have been good if a few bottles of water was in rooms. I have been to many hotels in uk and water was provided

Comfortable and affordable
Pros:

The room was newly finished and had all the basics. The shower was brilliant.
Very clean and the staff welcoming.
Car parking in the price.
Proper coffee mugs for a decent brew!

Cons:

A bit of work needed from car parking to front door. Few pieces of broken glass on the floor.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff
Pros:

Lovely clean hotel. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We booked 2 rooms as our friends were staying also, and they were as happy as us.

Cons:

Bar was closed. However, I'm sure that the staff would have sorted us out if we had asked.

Very good night's sleep

Cons:

Wish I had had the breakfast! Instead I went to a cafe, had a coffee and tea cake which cost more than the whole breakfast would have cost at the hotel.
