Brandnew Scuba Resort

My partner booked a open water course, and I booked a ReActivate. I booked a three dive boat package to accompany my partner on his second open water dive. After the first dive he became dizzy and started throwing up. He couldn’t complete his course which made me skip my last dive. They said that the last dive would be refundable which I thought was insensitive, especially because we had already paid so much for accommodation and diving.
Room was alright. It had spiders and cockroaches which was not great. Our shower wasn’t working when we came (they fixed it the day after though). Windows are poorly sealed which allows all sound to go through, as well as mosquitoes. We booked a room with ”city view”, but it was more a cellar room with a tiny window out towards a wall.

The lunch is not as good as expected.
We arrived at the resort at 10:40pm, there were no staff at the resort to help for luggages and it was self check in.

Wanted to book some things, diving / tours on arrival but I found staff not very helpful and basically told me best to go somewhere else. Weird considering it's a dive resort.

Toilet not clean , staff not really helping

There is no sense of freedom here — so many limitations are in place, and the staff are constantly watching. It's so strict, it feels more like being on a retreat than on a vacation. The double room with a sea view is very dim, and the air conditioning isn't functioning properly.

Having a lampshade on the bedside table would be a good appliance to add to the rooms. Not specifically about the resort but the karaoke as you enter the resort can be quite lout during the night time. Having a thicker blanket on the beds or having the option to have a thicker quilt/sheet would be a good addition.

Our bathroom was non functional the entire stay. We asked staff to fix it and they kept saying the would send maintenance and in the 4 days we stayed there nobody fixed the washroom and we couldn't use our toilet the entire time so we had to walk into town to use any bathroom. Also do not book a transfer back to Cebu city with this hotel. We had the worst experience with our driver who I'm sure it was his first time driving and took 4.5 hours to get back to Cebu City despite no traffic. He also stopped 3 times for his own washroom break, and had very bad manners. Never had a worse driving experience anywhere.

Booked and paid for a Waterview Room but had to argue to get one. Place has a Korean Feel not Filipino. Everything is in Korean and the shoes off in public area signs don't give a holiday vibe, The "Bar" serves only Soju and Pilsen and the restaurant is Korean. No TV or any entertainment in the room, not even a clock radio.
