Best value, great location
Pros:

Convenient location, only a $10 taxi ride from Kyoto station if you have large luggage, otherwise the bus stop is right outside the hotel.

Walking distance to Nishiki Market and the Gion district. The staff was excellent, breakfast was decent, and the hotel works with a delivery service to do same-day luggage forwarding to Osaka and KIX airport.

Cons:

No negatives, incredible value for the cost.

Pros:

3 person room while in Kyoto was very good price for the location. Although it is a small room the beds are comfortable and when travelling I personally like to spend less on some accommodation and spend my day out and about. Breakfast is small but included and is a nice little bite before going out.
