Great place to stay close to beach in Puerto villamil
Pros:

Clean rooms, great location to the pier and concha de Perla as well as many restaurants in Puerto villamil.

Our son enjoyed the pool table and my husband and I really enjoyed spending time on the balcony.

Cons:

Somewhat of a smell in the bathroom (could be the water containing certain minerals)

A Good Stay. Close to Beach
Pros:

Hotel is on the edge of town so we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Room had a fridge which was great for snacks and drinks. Free filtered water was provided to fill up your own bottles. A great bonus that they don't charge when the town water is undrinkable. Close to nice beach.

Cons:

Not impressed at all that credit cards are not accepted. Cash only. Very unsafe and unwise for travellers to bring thousands of dollars to pay for hotel stay. Top sheet on double bed barely came to each side of bed. Most uncomfortable. It's not hard to get the correct size sheets to fit the bed.

The design of the room and the balcony above the trees. Privacy was exceptional. Tennis table in the lobby was available all the time. The breakfast was very good.

Good - met expectations.
Pros:

The location was convenient to the ferry and shops in the center of town. The ease of check-in and check-out was excellent.

Limited ability to get assistance from hotel with regards to tours and local questions, etc.

Pros:

Clean place, budget hotel don't expect much. However shower is good (so important after snorkelling!) and the laundry service is very convenient. Also front desk can drive you to airport for a small fee. Overall a good stay.

Pros:

The location was convenient. The staff corresponded promptly via email and they were kind and courteous. They provided beach towels for free.

Cons:

It needs to be renovated. For $270+ per night we expect a less rundown, tired-looking hotel. In addition to the exorbitant cost per night, breakfast is an additional $10/person. They waived this breakfast fee, however, when we checked in.

Located on edge of town shopping strip, clean and basic rooms
Pros:

Located at the edge of main commercial area so easy walk to shops, food, laundry, tours
Breakfast of fruit, granola, toast, scrambled eggs, the freshly squeezed orange was delicious!
Room was basic, no wardrobe or tv. We had to leave our suitcases on the floor which was inconvenient.
Hotel provided beach towels, useful.
Hotel only had a few guests so was nice and quiet but layout would allow noise transfers from common areas if busy.
Price was high for standard of room. Glimpse of beach from some rooms

Cons:

Like previous guests have commented, it is a bit disconcerting the reception is not attended but there was always a staff member /family member floating around.A Little English spoken

Beautiful location
Pros:

Great location. Quiet. Lovely large room with balcony and ocean view. Walking distance to beach and main square.. Breakfast was good. Comfortable bed and pillows. Plenty of hot water. Wifi great.

Cons:

The service was sparse. It was kind of hard to find anyone around the hotel in case you needed anything. It could have been the slow time of year as we were basically the only people in the hotel.
