Location is good
Worst food, hygiene issues with washroom, not worth the money they charge..
Not a royal experience
A beautiful hotel set in a mystical place full of history. The staff was very attentive. The views of the river are amazing!
Despite our very late arrival from a long journey, they thoughtfully ensured that dinner was available for us, showing exceptional care and hospitality.
All was very good
Heritage a piece of history personal service excellent food An unforgettable experience
Nothing
Comfort food and the staff
Noise near the tent rooms but that can't be helped was since it's near the pilgrimage
Great location of the property! The staying in the palace itself is an incredible experience. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. We stayed during the Xmas, they have arranged special meals for this occasion. Their continental as well as Indian spreads were exceptional. We as a family prefer limited but good quality food, they match it at par. Their attention to detail is remarkable—in food, the room decor, handwritten notes, pre-dinner mocktails. They arrange a boat ride in Narmada river and visit to family shiva temple—sipping tea while watching the sun setting, along with the celestial Narmada was a memorable experience we will cherish for a while!
Heavenly place to stay definitely do the boat trip in the morning.
The food is great and so well planned. Excellent all round and fantastic staff
Everything about the property was fantastic. The feel was extremely homely and welcoming. The meals were extremely well thought out and is not to be missed. For people with pets, the staff and the premises are extremely pet friendly. For those who are spiritual, the ghats and the temple visits are experiences that will stay with you for a long time.
Nothing that I did not like.
Beautiful property by the Narmada river. Excellent service, food. exceptional. will be back

Ahilya place is An excellent luxury property set in a beautiful environment. The staff was extremely courteous and attentive, making us feel genuinely special. The food was great, and the hospitality exceeded expectations.
we stayed in a room which was close to the temple and ghats . The views from the room very lovely but due to use of loudspeakers by the temple the room was very noisy .
Everything !
Nothing !
Everything. This is a very unique heritage property. It is like an oasis, from when you walk through the small entrance gate into the beautiful gardens it is a very special experience. My room was lovely, with views across the river. The food is incredible, and served in various locations around the site. It has a great swimming pool. The staff were pleasant, helpful and attentive. The boat trip on the river was a great experience
Nothing, a lovely experience
We loved the "at home" feeling that the place creates. Having a different location for breakfast was charming. The meals were very interesting, ingredients very fresh and very well presented. Having a dinner and a breakfast with Prince Richard Holkar was an absolute honour and a great delight. Our visit to the Rehwa Society and seeing the artisans at work was very interesting, and a visit to the school next door was heart warming.
The stay would have been more enriching if:
1. There was someone at the location who inquired about our interests and helped plan local sight seeing.
2. If the story of Ahilyabai Holkar is narrated in an interesting "story telling' manner, as an evening gathering of guests.
3. The place is full of interesting antique pieces and historic pictures and documents - a guided tour of the premises giving some more details of some specific significant artefacts would be an added experience.
4. The constant loud speaker noise, chanting interrupted with announcements that gutka etc is banned every 2nd minute was very very disturbing - it took away the serenity and peace in the room we stayed in (Narmada Suite).
Location,
The food menu was foreign guest oriented, they openly admitted that they prefer foreigners as guests. The answer was humiliating..
