Clean and friendly staff
Location and the bar
Our room was at the back of the hotel facing Manchester Central. We only realised as we TRIED to sleep that the trams (which are incredibly load as they pass by the room every 6 minutes, don’t stop running until 02:00 on a Saturday morning meaning we had almost no sleep!
Delicous brekast
Perfect location. Room was beautiful
There is nothing to dislike
Promising under delivery
Very classy, clean and beautiful.
Nothing
Checking in & out was very easy the staff where really helpful the room was really nice great bathroom we look forward to returning soon .The main bar was well stocked & nice & cosy it is an incredible building & a great Mancunian asset .
The only issue we had was the tv in the room did not work but other than that it was a very nice stay we did let them know at reception about this , but it was not an issue we did not go to the hotel really to watch tv but it would have been nice if it was working
Old world charm
The hotel has a beautiful interior, and a unique history. We appreciated the champagne room service. Our room was stylishly furnished, and had a Nespresso machine and other nice little touches.
There were a few small details from our experience that could have been improved. There was a quiet but audible dripping noise from within the toilet. We couldn't connect our phones to the smart TV, and the staff weren't able to help with that. The breakfast bacon and eggs were a little dry. But I am being very picky!
Great location
Very clean polite staff and close to all
Amenities
The staff were fantastic.
Room was clean , comfortable and so spacious.
Breakfast choice was great and friendly professional service.
Nothing
The entrance hall is nice.
TV broken, staff unable to fix and unwilling to upgrade, I asked for my money back they refused and only offered a part refund. I declined and left anyway, after following the process through Booking 100% of my money was returned within 24 hours.
The main issue I have is the customer service rep at the hotel absolutely certain the TV doesn't have to work and the room exchange offered was a smaller room (their excuse was the hotel floorppan is odd as its old) with a working TV, neither of which I am willing to accept - If my room I paid for isn't right either upgrade me or give me my money back its simple.
