Mangapwani è una località fuori dai circuiti turistici. È in campagna. Vale la pena andarci perché vicino c'è una grotta molto bella che veniva usata per gli schiavi ma che adesso è l'attrazione principale della zona, infatti all'interno c' è una sorgente d'acqua dolce dove si può fare il bagno. La struttura è sul mare. Il personale mette tanta buona volontà e può migliorare molto.

I had a fantastic stay at this beach villa. The rooms were clean, spacious, and offered amazing ocean views. The location is perfect — right by the beach and peaceful. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, served with a beautiful sea view. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

The location is perfect if you would like peace and privacy. Has a nice beach. Fantastic host and staff who did everything to help us plan our tours. Definitely recommended.
A little difficult to access if you are on public transport and plan to explore. But the host tries to help with that. No WiFi.
The breakfast was fantanstic, infact their overall curinary skills was great.

Where do I begin.....
This was the highlight of my stay in Zanzibar! I had been moving from location to location exploring the island, originally I only intended on staying a single day in Mangapwani - however I spent my remaining 4 nights there.
This stay was incredible, with Kayaks/ canoes/ snorkelling / an in house chef / hidden coves / mangroves / local fishing all available from the resort itself.
The hotel itself tucked away far from the hustle and bustle that you'll find in the touristic locations - it's an ideal location is you truly want island experience with all the amenities and activities you could possible want!
The last point I have to mention is owner of the hotel - Kames.
Kames took the time to arrange multiple activities - trips to Mangapwani caves - where I was able to swim in the tranquil waters / The slave chamber / Trips to stone town and so much more! We shared fantastic conversations and delicious fresh meals prepared by the chef - some of the fish/ squid I caught myself!
A truly unforgettable experience! I will absolutely return - thank you Kames / the team for hospitality and friendship!
*if you do stay at Mangapwani- please ask Kames to tell you the story of the iPhone and Sandy Road!
I only wish some availability actives such as canoeing / fishing / snorkelling were better highlighted on the listing as I had no idea this would be possible!!
secluded beach spot. friendly host, good communication. nice villa. still being renovated because its new, but once its up and all the activities are in place, there will be more to do in the area.

Off the beaten track, very different vibe from eastern coast.
Place is simply not finished yet. For instance, no generator. So it opened too early.
Overpriced, in particular as regards food.....

The perfect getaway off the main road. A short walk through coconut palms and orange trees leads to the most amazing private rocky coral beach where we went swimming and snorkeling. It was also easy to get around to other beaches, Slaves Chamber and the coral caves. The neighboring village people are very nice and the groundkeepers and staff were very friendly, helpful and prepared delicious meals for us. Definitely recommended.
