Pros:

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Die Familie ist unglaublich freundlich und herzlich, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Das Frühstück wird frisch zubereitet und ist sehr lecker, ebenso das Abendessen – alles mit viel Liebe gemacht.

Die Unterkunft war durchgehend sauber und gepflegt, und wir haben sehr gut geschlafen.

Ein kleiner Hinweis: Die Unterkunft liegt in der Nähe einer Bahnstrecke, daher kann es zeitweise etwas lauter sein. Uns persönlich hat das jedoch nicht besonders gestört.

Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die Ehrlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Familie: Unsere Tochter hatte ihre AirPods vergessen, und wir wurden direkt informiert, sodass wir sie problemlos wieder abholen konnten.

Spacious, comfortable stay
Pros:

- Spacious
- Good breakfast
- The lady and her daughter were very friendly
- No mosquitoes (thank god!)
- Wifi was okay

Cons:

- The train was really loud, however, I managed to sleep well (I must be too tired)
- There were ants on the table and chair and they could be quite aggressive and bit my legs and arms
- No shampoo or body wash other than a soap
- It would be a good choice of value if you have a companion
- A little bit walk, around 15 mins to the train station and bus station (you have to compete with cars and tuk tuks on the road)

Exceptionnel
Pros:

Très belle chambre et famille très accueillante et gentille. Le petit déjeuner (supplément) vaut largement le coup, je vous le conseille fortement, il était délicieux et en quantité gargantuesque

Cons:

Attention aux personnes voulant faire la grasse matinée, le logement est juste à coté des rails de train

Pros:

住宿位子方便，離巴士站跟火車站步行15分鐘就可以到，房間寬敞有冷氣很舒服，而且房間非常乾淨，民宿一家人都很友善客氣，女主人提供的早餐很豐盛又好吃，雖然只有住一晚但是很喜歡！

Pros:

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hostel war wirklich wunderbar. Die Lage ist top, alles Wichtige ist gut erreichbar. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das unglaublich liebe und herzliche Personal. Man hat sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und bestens betreut gefühlt. Es wurde sich aufmerksam und ehrlich gekümmert, genau so wünscht man sich das.

Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Ein weiteres Highlight war das Frühstück. Sehr reichhaltig und absolut ausreichend, perfekt für alle mit großem Hunger und einem guten Start in den Tag.

Insgesamt ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Cons:

Hinweis für geräuschempfindliche Gäste: In der Nähe fährt regelmäßig ein Zug vorbei. Für Menschen mit leichtem Schlaf kann das als störend empfunden werden.

Beautiful stay but bring some ice cream to cool off in the day 😉
Pros:

The staff. The staff were an incredible beautiful and impressive family who worked hard to make sure i and the other guests were comfortable. Despite the language barrier we made everything work and they gave me so much free food i was bursting at the seams! 😂
The room itself was huge and could have hosted a small family. And in the golden hours you could watch a huge swarm of fruit bats 🦇 flying across the sky and quite close to the room but never inside so dont worry 😉. It was really nice.

Cons:

It was hard to keep the warm cool during the day and the internet was poor. However this is typical in sri lanka. It was also a bit of a walk to the bus/train stations with luggage.

Great stay! Friendly hosts!
Pros:

Friendly hosts, the place feels very secure. The room was amazing, clean, lots of fans and from the top floor you can watch the trains go past. Beds have mosquito nets. Everything was clean. Tuk tuk to the fort is cheap and easy. Tea in the morning was also very nice! Would love to come again!

Excelente opção para um alojamento económico
Pros:

Os proprietários foram super simpáticos e preocupados em garantir-me uma boa estadia. O quarto é grande e dispõe do necessário para uma estadia agradável, faltando apenas um frigorifico.

Cons:

O alojamento fica a 20/30 metros da linha do comboio pelo que com frequência ouvia o comboio a passar.

¡Magnífico!
Pros:

¡Nos encantó todo! La familia fue estupenda y super atenta con nosotros; la comida, era srilanquesa y estaba buenísima; la habitación, era cómoda y limpia; y, en cuanto a la ubicación, estaba a menos de 20 min caminando del fuerte.
¡Lo recomendamos 120%!

Pros:

The room was spacious and spotless, and the family who runs the place is incredibly friendly and welcoming. We also loved the breakfast—it was delicious and the portions were huge.

Cons:

The noise was a major issue; trains run constantly through the night and are incredibly loud. Earplugs are an absolute necessity to get any rest here.

Pros:

Chỗ này thật sự là “không có gì để chê”. Phòng rộng kinh khủng, rộng tới mức mình đùa là chắc đá bóng mini trong phòng cũng được =)). Sạch sẽ, thoáng mát, ở rất thoải mái.

Gia đình chủ nhà thì siêu thân thiện và dễ mến. Dù tụi mình đặt phòng không bao gồm ăn sáng, nhưng sáng nào họ cũng pha trà và chuẩn bị bánh mời. Cảm giác rất ấm áp, kiểu được chăm sóc như người nhà chứ không đơn thuần là khách thuê phòng.

Sau 2 tuần đi khắp Sri Lanka, đây thật sự là nơi mình thấy đáng giá nhất trong cả chuyến đi – cả về chất lượng phòng lẫn sự tử tế của chủ nhà.

Điểm trừ nhỏ là homestay nằm gần đường tàu, nên khi tàu chạy qua có thể hơi ồn và một số người ngủ nhẹ sẽ thấy khó ngủ. Nhưng với tụi mình thì hoàn toàn không vấn đề gì, thậm chí còn thấy khá thú vị.
