Excelente opção para um alojamento económico
Pros:

Os proprietários foram super simpáticos e preocupados em garantir-me uma boa estadia. O quarto é grande e dispõe do necessário para uma estadia agradável, faltando apenas um frigorifico.

Cons:

O alojamento fica a 20/30 metros da linha do comboio pelo que com frequência ouvia o comboio a passar.

Pros:

The room was spacious and spotless, and the family who runs the place is incredibly friendly and welcoming. We also loved the breakfast—it was delicious and the portions were huge.

Cons:

The noise was a major issue; trains run constantly through the night and are incredibly loud. Earplugs are an absolute necessity to get any rest here.

Pros:

¡Nos encantó todo! La familia fue estupenda y super atenta con nosotros; la comida, era srilanquesa y estaba buenísima; la habitación, era cómoda y limpia; y, en cuanto a la ubicación, estaba a menos de 20 min caminando del fuerte.
¡Lo recomendamos 120%!

Pros:

Chỗ này thật sự là “không có gì để chê”. Phòng rộng kinh khủng, rộng tới mức mình đùa là chắc đá bóng mini trong phòng cũng được =)). Sạch sẽ, thoáng mát, ở rất thoải mái.

Gia đình chủ nhà thì siêu thân thiện và dễ mến. Dù tụi mình đặt phòng không bao gồm ăn sáng, nhưng sáng nào họ cũng pha trà và chuẩn bị bánh mời. Cảm giác rất ấm áp, kiểu được chăm sóc như người nhà chứ không đơn thuần là khách thuê phòng.

Sau 2 tuần đi khắp Sri Lanka, đây thật sự là nơi mình thấy đáng giá nhất trong cả chuyến đi – cả về chất lượng phòng lẫn sự tử tế của chủ nhà.

Điểm trừ nhỏ là homestay nằm gần đường tàu, nên khi tàu chạy qua có thể hơi ồn và một số người ngủ nhẹ sẽ thấy khó ngủ. Nhưng với tụi mình thì hoàn toàn không vấn đề gì, thậm chí còn thấy khá thú vị.

we had a great stay and the host was super friendly
Pros:

we had a huge room which was clean and the bed was comfortable. there are fans and the owner was very friendly and hospitable. we also got some tea and hoppers even though we said we will eat breakfast outside. thank you for your hospitality!

Cons:

the train is right next to the house so you can hear it very well but we knew that when booking so it didn’t disturb us.

Pros:

Location comfortable and the family were so lovely. They went out of their way to get us on the train with our bags, showed us where to wait. I cannot recommend it enough. 6 stars !!!

Pros:

部屋は清潔で温水シャワーもしっかり出て良かったです。ご家族で経営していて皆さんとても親切でした。

Nice stay
Pros:

The family is very friendly, the wifi and A/C are working well, the room was clean and the breakfast was delicious and a lot!

Cons:

As already mencioned by others, you have to be amare that you are next to the street/train rails what causes some noise (even during the night).

Super Homestay in Galle
Pros:

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist super! Das Frühstück war das beste, was wir auf unserer Reise hatten. Die Familie war sehr freundlich. Man kann die Bahngleise sehen und nach Galle Fort laufen.

Cons:

Wenn nachts Züge vorbeifahren ist es ziemlich laut. Für uns war das kein Problem, ist aber gut vorher zu wissen.

There were some loud noises from the train and road work. The kind hostess warned me before the night and it was not too bad. For this price, I do not think you will get a better deal.

Der Weg nach Galle Fort ist sehr kurz.

Cons:

Wegen der Nähe zur Bahn und dem Zimmer zur Straße vll. nicht die beste Option für lärmempfindliche Gäste

Incredible hospitality, spacious and comfortable room and only a 15 minutes walk/ 5 minute tuktuk from the fort. Very good breakfast too

La gentillesse et le sourire de nos hôtes nous ont accompagnés pendant les deux jours et deux nuits que nous avons passés chez eux.
Le petit déjeuner est copieux et de grande qualité.
L'hébergement est très bien situé pour visiter la vieille ville et, pour couronner le tout, il est d'un rapport qualité-prix imbattable !
