Great place to stay! wonderful staff, the room was super comfortable and the views were spectacular! definitely recommend it
The hotel is really nice, rooms are nicely designed, very clean. Stayed at the end of a hike and was a nice break from the outdoors.
It should be made clear that hot water is only available at certain times of the day, and same for generator. Had to go back and ask each time and as it’s completely understandable to have rules like this in the valley it should also be clarified.

This is the best option in the Gulmit/Ghulkin region. The location is spectacular, with an amazing view of the Passu cones. The staff was incredibly friendly and I enjoyed talking with the owner. I also really liked the dinner and breakfast!
hotel facilities very good.
Our party of 6 had a delightful stay at Villa Darya. Our rooms were roomy, very clean, and included a mini fridge, tea kettle and nice sitting area. My favorite was the private balcony on which I enjoyed watching the sunset over the incredible mountains facing this very private hotel. Most impressed with the staff who made sure all our requests were met and went beyond to anticipate our needs. Be aware you will need to pay in cash—contrary to what it says on Booking.com.
Bravo Villa Darya on mountain oasis!
There was a bit of a walk to the nearby village for food etc. (hotel restaurant was good) but we had a driver so it wasn’t a deal breaker. The off road privacy of the hotel made was more important to us.
We were the only 5 guests at hotel when we stayed with 8 staff looking after us, so amazing experience. All staff were very polite, honest and helpful. We didn’t lock our rooms once in the 3 days we were there (might be different if other guests there). Chef would come and personally take food order for us and change bits as needed for our kids.
Faizan bhai on front desk was one of the best guys we met during our 11 day trip in GB. Always on hand, and didn’t leave our side until we slept. Even off duty we were able to get hold of him to sort out water one night. Also special mention to amjad bhai for his local knowledge and the chef who can cook many cuisines confidently.
Beds very very comfortable and showers nicely done. Balcony seat was really nice to sit and chill.
Would wholeheartedly recommend to any family or friends visiting the area.
A little bit away from all the action. It’s good if you want to switch off and just relax. The wifi would be dependent on the mood of a nearby army camp.
Some small recommendations:
Change the opening side of room doors, they open straight onto the beds, so anyone in passageway can see who or what is there.
Put a small sign near basin to say that the water is not suitable for drinking (for foreigners at least 😬).
Put some furniture/seating in the large garden area so you can enjoy the peaceful outdoors.
