This homestay is its starting phase: there is wide room for improvement, with just minimal effort. For example, a power strip in the room would be nice, especially because the kettle's cable cannot reach the available power supply. Two towels for 3 people are not enough (but that was easily fixed by asking nicely). A toilet paper hanger would be nice, so it doesn't get wet on the sink or floor. All these things cost just pennies and would add real value to the room's comfort. There is no hot water in the whole structure (not even a token shower), but that is not clear when making the reservation. Moreover, despite all the staff being genuinely nice and supportive, the owner behaves like she's doing you a favor.

il nome é diverso, usano un nome per booking ma in realtà é il La Boheme Hostel. é quindi un ostello, e non ce lo aspettavamo. avevamo tuttavia la camera privata. il letto non è comodissimo e non c’è l’acqua calda. altra nota negativa che é difficile da raggiungere dalla strada principale, é meglio usare il ponte sul lungomare.

The cold shower, but we expected that coming in.

Only accept cash payment. There were mosquitoes in the room, got bitten during sleep. The bed was noisy, fan control not working, toilet flushing was difficult, no shampoo, no drinking water in the room. Breakfast can be better tasting and better choices.

If you want a decent nights sleep then be aware the call to prayer plays through a speaker right by the upstairs rooms. We were woken at 4am each morning.

It wasn’t perfectly clean - there was something in our sink. There is no hot water, although it wasn’t an issue as it’s really hot and the water gets naturally pretty warm.

• The hotel seems to employ only younger staff, which initially gives a positive impression but quickly reveals significant issues. There is a clear lack of professionalism, customer service skills, and problem-solving abilities. While some of the staff are friendly, at least one member (who we believe is in a leadership position) is extremely rude and even disrespectful. It is evident that the team urgently needs supervision and guidance from more experienced adults.
• There was no hot water in the room. When we requested a kettle to warm water, we eventually received one, but this is unacceptable for basic comfort in a hotel.
• The hostel organizes activities, but we had a very poor experience when booking one. If you want to participate in activities, we strongly recommend arranging them directly with an external agency. The hostel’s organization is unreliable, and they fail to deliver on promises. Their only focus seems to be collecting money and taking commissions, with no regard for quality or customer satisfaction. Once again, this reflects the lack of experience and responsibility from a team composed entirely of young staff.

Very noisy if you're in the bottom rooms so be sure to request an upstairs room or you'll hear everything your neighbours are doing

Breakfast was pancakes, bread, fried rice and fruit. Fine if you eat wheat but I don't so I was limited to rice and fruit.
The second room stayed in smelled slightly musty.
