Solitude Acacia Resort

The staff were all great and the dive shop, boats and diving were all thoroughly enjoyable. The food at the restaurant was very good and plentiful.

Let me first say that we had a good time at Solitude but there were a few issues I would like to address. The first being that on our tour of the property, as we were a ‘long stay’ package, I asked the question if alcohol was part of our 20% discount. I was told to check with the Manager which I did. I was told by Alphi that the long term stay privileges only apply to customers that booked directly with Solitude. I explained that I had booked with booking.com as I wanted to make sure that I could get the entire month as it was available and it took some time booking with Solitude because of the time difference. He then asked me how long I was staying and how many dives we were doing. Then when I told him we were staying a month and doing at least 96 dives he said he would check and get back to me the next day. This was not the welcome I expected especially when we had booked months in advance and ample opportunity in e.mails to explain the policy of a third party booking. They did honour the 20% but had I not brought up the issue we would not have known until we checked out and then it would not have been a pleasant experience arguing the situation before leaving. This should be made VERY CLEAR on their website that the 20% only applies if you book directly with Solitude. My preference would have been for Alphi to check my e.mails and with his Manager first before approaching me. It would have been much more acceptable had he come to me and explained the policy but we have decided to extend the 20% to you.

I like the location. It’s my first time in this part of Batangas, and I’m glad we booked our stay here. The staff are friendly, the place is generally clean, and the food is decent—though there’s room for improvement. For example, the noodles were a bit salty. On the positive side, I appreciate the flexibility in accommodating changes to orders, like swapping rice for quinoa. That kind of attentiveness makes the experience more enjoyable.

Nettes Personal, Tauchen super top organisiert. Besonders gut hat uns die absolut persönliche Betreuung (pro Buddyteam ein Guide) gefallen. Essen lecker. Preis-/Leistung passt. Zimmergrösse gut, Betten bequem.

Super ist auch die Aufteilung im Bad (Toilette & Dusche getrennt) sowie das angenehm warme Wasser (auch bei den Duschen an der Tauchbasis).

2 hours from Manila, with incredible Seaview and marvellous sunset, truly a top spot for R&R. Beachfront resort with spacious rooms and all modern comforts. Mabini is not a typical sandy beach area, it is a rocky beach, the water is instantly deep so great for diving. I enjoyed the pool, sun deck and variety in menu options. Elevated pool bar is the best spot to watch the sunset. A resort where you would stay-in and not go anywhere else. A quiet and surreal place to press pause and clear your mind. Good for couples or bestfriends get-aways. The hotel arranged a private car pickup from my location to the resort. Quick and easy checkin and checkout. From reception there are 4 flight of stairs to our room, staff assisted to bring down our luggage. Staff were professional and friendly.

Everything about Acacia was above and beyond my expectations. The food, staff and amenities were all amazing. Dive centre was a well oiled machine with knowledgeable and helpful staff.

Quiet location. We weren't there for diving, just chilling.
The staff were helpful and most were smiling constantly. The food choice was wonderful and delicious. Pool was perfect and we spent most days laying by it. Bowls of popcorn appeared when we were drinking at the Dive Bar watching perfect sunsets.
An ideal location for a getaway. Nearest town about 20 mins by taxi or by motorbike and sidecar (that was fun). Massages were extraordinarily good and excellent value.
