Clean, comfortable & good value
Pros:

Comfortable, clean hotel in the centre of Kelso. Very modern shower. Good quality bed linen.
Great bike storage.

Cons:

Noise from the odd bit of traffic can be disturbing early morning. Both times I've stayed I've been in street facing attic rooms.

Lovely staff and hotel
Pros:

I enjoyed our stay as the staff where very friendly, especially Karina who served a great feast of a breakfast, it was also well cooked & tasty. The room was good apart from the heat as it was on the sunny side of the hotel, its not often we get that weather. Location was very central for café, bars, restaurants. The food in the hotel was very good. Perfect location for walking beside the river or around town. Also handy for public transport to many locations

It never had any bad points, we enjoyed our stay

Overall an enjoyable stay and good value.
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked with a good variety of choices. Karina who managed the breakfasts was very sociable and helpful. Evening meals were of good quality

Cons:

Windows needing painted. Duvet a bit thick for summer!

The staff were extremely helpful and nice. Food was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Wouldn't stay again
Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great bike storage in a locked cage at the rear of the hotel.

Cons:

Very poky, basic room. Extremely dark bathroom with rusty towel holders. It was a wet room and when we used the shower, the water soaked everything - sink, toilet and the whole floor. It was horrible.
