Pana Unique Kolsay

Заранее согласовали завтрак на ифтар так как держали оразу (пост). Его принесли к нам в номер как мы просили, но завтрак был не полный ( без нарезки из казы-карта и варённых яиц, на фото и в меню они были, а в реальности нет). От центральной стоянки у оз Кольсай до самого отеля после долгого ожидания пришлось искать транспорт и добираться самим и за свой счет (за 13 тысяч), трансфера не было так как джип при отеле оказывается сломался.

Below are my Initial Comment based on my stay, please note I have updated my comments based on my conversation with the hotel management, which I have updated in my positive points:
Hotel Management has assured the below points will be corrected by improving the service, facilities and by renovating the facility soon.

I will never visit the hotel again, so poorly managed, not clean, no amenities like water, tea/ coffee provided. Stained mattress and towel. Broken light and no TV. Price is paid only for the view.
My suggestion don't stay in this hotel.
Best is to visit Tary cafe for nice coffee and the best view of kolsay lake.
Hotel if run properly could have been the best in Almaty. The view of kolsay lake and mountains so close its believable.
Please note if your planning to drive to this hotel, you need an SUV 4*4 and should be an expert level driver.
Hotel says they have shuttle but I didn't get one.
Don't believe Tiktok and youtube video of this hotel but Tary cafe is as per the video seen and food is not bad. Tary cafe is within this hotel but no hotel booking is required to visit this cafe

The only thing that i wish they had is a spray bidet to clean ourselves.

The facilities a bit to high in price and the don’t accept visa.

No drinking water inside the hotel room, there's a smell inside the bathroom. No at least split AC. We need to open the window but we are afraid to keep it open as there might be mosquitos or snakes.

Our experience at the hotel was really disappointing. The route to the hotel was difficult to navigate so they sent us shuttle to move us, and when we finally reached our room, it was just average. The toilet drainage was blocked, so we had to call someone to fix it. The staff told us the internet wasn’t paid for by the hotel, so there was no Wi-Fi in our room. They moved us to another room closer to the admin area to get a connection, but it was dirty and had leftover items from the previous guest. It was clear the room hadn’t been cleaned properly.
They didn’t even provide water in the room. When we asked for some, the staff member told us to buy it from the restaurant or use the cooler in the hallway if we wanted water. We went to the restaurant to have dinner and get the Wi-Fi password,but it didn’t work. I went back to tell the waiter, and he said there was no internet at all. I don’t understand why he even gave us the password if the connection wasn’t working.
We came mainly for the view, hoping for good facilities and service, but we really regretted booking at Pana Kolsay. It was the worst experience ever.

The check in experince was not good where we had to wait for a long time. the approach to the rooms was external which made it difficult to get to the room in heavy snowfall.
The room did not have glass to drink water, when asked for it, we were given bowls to drink water and was justified by the manager (who uses bowls to drink water in the whole world)
The hotel was not prepared to support customers with heavy snow as the walk to the restaurent from rooms was a long walk in heavy snow.

Room and service itself is very minimal and basic

We were very excited for our stay at Pana. We booked for one night and before this we stayed in a yurt for one night. In all the agenda was to experience nature and hospitality! But we were left highly disappointed with the hospitality, service and facilities! The deluxe rooms are way below average minus the balcony and view! View is breathtaking! Our bags were helped with during check in, but while check out we had to drag them (with a baby in hand) then a staff member came and helped in! We had well in advance informed our departure, they accommodated 2 adults and 1 baby beside the drivers seat (since 3 people were already seated at the back of the car). The breakfast options at Tary cafe was only and only non-vegetarian while for vegetarians there were just three options ‘still water, juice and coffee’. While majority of guest in the property were vegetarian at the time of our stay!

My stay at Pana Kolsay on October 28 was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room was extremely dirty — with stained bedsheets, filthy towels, and even insects and worms inside the room. It was shocking and completely unacceptable for a place that charges guests for accommodation.

There were no basic facilities provided — no tissue, no kettle, and not even bottled drinking water. Guests are expected to go to the reception to collect drinking water in a glass, which is both unhygienic and inconvenient.

The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, showing no interest in guest comfort or cleanliness. There was no sense of responsibility or hospitality throughout my stay.

On top of this, every time you need to eat, you have to walk down 150 steps to the restaurant and climb back up — a total of 300 steps per meal, three times a day. This is exhausting and very poorly planned for guests.

Overall, this hotel is poorly managed, unhygienic, and completely lacking in basic standards. I would never recommend Pana Kolsay to anyone who values cleanliness, comfort, or service. The management urgently needs to take serious action to improve or stop advertising this a proper hotel
