A blessed sanctuary in the heart of St. Kilda.
Pros:

"Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence." - Vince Lombardi
From the moment I was dropped off and entered The Cosmopolitan I was made to feel very welcome and my patronage there most appreciated.
I arrived reasonably early (approx. 11:30am) and having gone through the formalities one goes through when checking in I was informed my room was not ready yet but they would store my luggage until that time when i could access my room and they would text me letting me know when that time came. Until then I was free to use the guest lounge and the facilities provided there.. (bathroom/microwave/etc.)
After using the lounge and organising myself I went out and explored the neighbourhood.
At some point not long after 12:30pm I surprisingly received a message informing me that my room was ready and I was able to go back and properly check in.
The room was of a good size, very clean, and had a great wall of floor to ceiling windows with a sliding door that lead out onto a north facing terrace, which had a fantastic view from the Palais Theatre to the city of Melbourne, to Sacred Heart Church and its imposing Spire, and then across to Prahan/South Yarra/Toorak, where one could only hear the odd rumble of a tram down Carlisle Street but mainly the sound of Lorikeets and birds that flew between the palms trees dotted around the gardens of St Kilda. As great as this was, especially when the sun came out, the terraces feel a little too open and exposed as there really isn't much separating you from your neighbours terraces, though on the other hand if you stayed there with a group of friends with adjoining rooms this would make a great place for socialising.

Cons:

My stay was too short :(

That I wont be revisiting soon enough.. but I definitely will!

That I'm not able to write more about what I like about the Cosmopolitan in the space provided above.

Great spot close to good food and the Palais Theatre.
Pros:

Excellent location - close to the tram stop, great breakfast food across the road at the St Kilda Galleon cafe and close to the Palais.

Cons:

Bathroom lighting was awful - an option to have a small light for night time use is really essential.
