The area as a whole does not have alot restraunts etc. But we had a car and could nip up to Akakura nad 7-11 to dine and shop

Excellent location with a short walk to the Romance chair up to the gondalar, ticket sales and rentals. First chair is free if you don't have a ticket yet.

Cons:

Adjustment not having showers but no big deal with the hot onsen. Beds were quite hard but that is only because we are not used to futons.

Perfect
Pros:

The hosts are wonderful people. Made me feel very welcome and at home whilst I stayed. They were friendly and kind, helped me and showed me new things. I felt apart of the family whilst I was there. Very well cared for. The facilities were comfortable and clean. I enjoyed the traditional sleeping arrangements. The food was exceptional, I wish I could eat there all day every day.
The location was easy to find and was very close to the ski lift. I will absolutely stay again.
