Haus mit Charme
Pros:

Ganz zauberhaft sind die außerhalb des Haupthauses liegenden Zimmer (z.B. Kiln House). Das Haus hat Flair, gut bestückte Whisky-Bar. Das Abendessen ist gut, aber auch recht teuer. Nettes hilfsbereites und kulantes Personal.

Cons:

Leider waren die Räumlichkeiten nicht ordentlich gereinigt. Es gab viel Staub, z.b. unter dem Sofa. Verblasste Plastikblumen und vertrocknete Topfpflanzen im Restaurant sollten besser entsorgt werden. Frühstück ohne Buffet war anstrengend, mit wenig Auswahlmöglichkeiten. Kaffee ungenießbar.

Disappointing stay and poor accessibility consideration
Cons:

We were extremely disappointed with our two night stay, particularly given the high cost of the booking. The property felt sub standard and in urgent need of significant refurbishment, both internally and externally.

I had also made an accessibility request for the bathroom in advance, which should have made it clear that mobility needed to be considered when allocating the room. Despite this, we were placed in accommodation outside the main house, accessible only by going down and then up two large flights of stairs. This was completely unsuitable and made the stay far more difficult than it should have been.

Overall, the experience did not reflect the price paid, and we left feeling very dissatisfied.

Very enjoyable, lovely hotel, very pretty gardens
Pros:

The hotel was a great location, clean. The room was lovely, and the staff were amazing

Cons:

The dinner was disappointing, I had the Pork Belly and it was tough and I couldn't eat it. The hotel were very good and refunded my part of the meal

Enorme delusione
Pros:

La struttura centrale era molto bella. Buona la colazione.

Cons:

Viaggiavamo con un chihuahua e ci hanno sistemato nel posto piú nascosto del giardino in un « bungalow da campeggio », sporco e pieno di insetti, il bagno era vetusto , maltenuto e sporco. Nonostante avessimo prenotato la cena abbiamo dovuto annullarla a causa del menu con sola scelta di cacciagione e alla mia richiesta di avere alternative si sono dimostrati arroganti e non disponibili… consigliandomi un ristorante di tapas. Abbiamo dunque organizzato la cena da soli senza il loro aiuto in una località molto isolata. Pessimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Not value for money, yet comfortable and clean.

Room wss comfortable, clean, with high quality linen and towels

Cons:

Breakfast was okay, but my friends was woefully inadequate.
Half a tomato and approx 4 small mushrooms sliced up, and 1 piece of toast, leaving him still hungry.
We booked a twin room as we are just good friends and do not, nor want to, share a Bed !!.however, the room had a double bed when we arrived ,even though this was sorted out very quickly, it was a little embarrasing as we are not a Couple.
We have both travelled to many parts of the UK and Europe both professionally and as friends, to Hotels that exceeded, or met our expectations, the Forss house Hotel did not

Cons:

Dreadful greeting when we arrived. Staff looked stressed. Rooms were made up wrongly and the heating was far too warm in rooms. Wasn’t enough staff at work clearly and any simple request felt like it was a real difficult ask for them to address

One staff member challenged our booking and stated we hadn’t booked what we asked for. We provided the emails to demonstrate that we had asked for what the hotel didn’t initially provide. They then agreed we were right after making a fuss that they were correct. Unnecessary bad feeling in first 5 minutes that could and should have been easily diffused
