Loved the quirkiness yet thoughtfulness of everything in our cottage. It had everything we needed and was spotless. The resort grounds are beautiful, inviting, and peaceful.
We enjoyed our stay.
Staff very helpful . There was supposed to be breakfast in lobby but there was not any breakfast . Staff offered to mail item I left behind and that was very nice .
No breakfast . Maybe I was misinformed . Not sure .
Cozy cabin in the redwoods
Nothing
Location was convenient
No staff to assist in the lobby, sign says ring bell during office hours but no sign saying what the office hours are. The office is always closed. There is a phone number and when you call the person sounds like you just woke them up. She doesn't come to the office to assist you. The internet is very bad and almost non existent. The front door of the cottage has non-glare plastic on the windows and the sunlight is bright very early and into the evening. It is difficult to sleep without having a dark room. When asked if they could put a curtain on door was told to hang a towel or a sheet on it. There are signs all over the room saying what you can't do and the fines they impose, however they certainly don't deliver. The shower is so small you cannot bend over and if you are tall the shower head is at your chest. Certainly not a good value for the money very expensive. There is a charge if you don't return both keys, however the office is not open to check you out, you have to put keys in a mailbox, giving you no confidence when checking out. I have stayed at old boutique hotels and they are maintained and lovely this one is not, the grounds are not kept up and there is no garden to walk through.
Owners obviously put a lot of care and attention into the property. We had everyhing we needed and loved the night light in the bathroom.
Sink plug would not close but haven't found an American one that does on our trip yet.
Mattress was rather soft and creaky for our taste but was ok.
Lovely location among the redwoods and on Avenue of the Giants. Shop and restaurant nearby.
very outdated. No reception staff on our arrival (afternoon) or departure (morning). No welcome at all, just a series of written warnings about things they don't want you to do. Very expensive; poor value.
I was there for the trees and being on the Avenue of Giants made it perfect. The landscaping on the property was beautiful. If it was a little warmer I would have been able to enjoy it more.
Cabins in the redwoods were great.
For people without cars, there is a bus stop right outside the residence.
A lot of eating options just across the road
This resort is among the Redwoods, amazing! Nothing like it. Room had kitchy rustic furniture, which we loved. And it is conveniently located on Avenue of the Giants, with lots of free parking! Our room was just the right size and had a sweet balcony with Redwoods, did I say Redwoods? Oh yeah!!!
It was freezing in our room when we arrived. No one had gone to our room in advance to turn on the heat so we froze while we waited for the heaters to kick in. Hot water took awhile to get to the taps, but it was good once it got there.
Location and space access to restaurants and coffee
They deceived us and did not send us the access code
The Redwood Forest, the Eel River and the restaurant's across the street
The only thing that could have made it better is if we could of had 1 more night.
