What a find Wortley Hall is. Such an interesting history as well. The staff are professional yet warm and friendly. The room was a good size with everything necessary for an overnight stay. The absolute highlight is the exceptional food. What a gem if a chef. Better than most restaurants

The prices of food and drinks
The location was excellent , with wonderful views overlooking some lovely quiet countryside.
However, unfortunately my room was overlooking the bins and the kitchen delivery area. I was woken up by a delivery very early.
Very clean, parking, staff very friendly and greeted upon arrival.
Vegan options available which was great. Bed very comfortable and bathroom great, spacious & appreciated having a bath.
No tea in the room supplied but coffee was.
Vegan options at breakfast was appreciated but cooked breakfast options was limited (compared to other venues who offer more on a plate).
Breakfast pricey for what was suppliers
Wonderful location, very interesting history. Lovely staff
It was a touch shabby, but charming
Really nice location food was excellent will definitely stay again
Nothing
Staff were lovely and very accomadating. We were there for a wedding and had a medical emergency the morning of checking out. We were a little late to breakfast and check out because of this and the staff were very calm and understanding.
They are clearly renovating several rooms at once, and older rooms were the same price as updated rooms. It would have been nice to know which type of room you were in based on the price if possible.
Location
Lack of clear signage
The views were amazing and the gardens were beautiful. Our room was very spacious and extremely clean 👌. They were short staffed in the bar but I must say the young lady that served us was very nice even under a lot of pressure ( wedding was taking place) the young lady once the que had gone down did come to speak to us. I didn't catch her name unfortunately but management should praise the young lady.
I understand there was a wedding so it was very busy. To be fair we checked in later in the day but was disappointed they didn't have much choice for dinner. Saying that the young lady behind the bar could not have been any nicer.
Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Comfortable beds and really helpful staff
Nothing
Beautiful surroundings. Lovely village
Lovely period building in great surroundings.. staff were friendly and easy to park.the showers were powerful. The food was of a good standard
The property was tierd and requires renovation in areas. Could be a really lovely place. I felt it required a deeper clean within he room I stayed. Staiwell leading to Hague rooms requires attention. Not a great first impression. The area to eat evening meal is way to small
Setting, the slightly work in progress nature of the ongoing renovation work. The trade union ties. The diverse team. The gardens. Food was great Rooms were great. Will definitely be our future base in the area when visiting family and the beautiful countryside of the Peaks.
The bar closed early the second evening as it had been quiet (perhaps because we weren't there 8D).
Beautiful peaceful grounds and quiet location.
Hotel has an interesting history and cosy feel.
Food is trying hard but lacks finish.
Food service was lacking in some areas
No serviettes and missing cutlery
Fish finger sandwich needs a rethink as it is mostly bread and batter.
Some lighting not working in the room.
Convenient location
