The property is beautiful and so are the grounds
Cleanliness is an issue. Dirty cups, shower had hair in it. Muck/mould on pillows. Mould on window and in the shower.
Room smelt damp.
The property is beautiful but needs some renovation and room being unclean is unacceptable.
Everything, I’ve been twice now and both times had a fantastic stay!
That I couldn’t have stayed longer.
Just excellent
Na
A fascinating history makes this place unique. We could feel the unions of earlier times in everything. There was a union conference happening as we were there - everyone polite and friendly
Clearer directions to find our way through the many corridors in the house.
Beautiful
Nothing
Beautiful setting.
We arrived in the evening, tired after travelling, to be informed that there was an event going on and the dining room wasn’t open. We had to walk to the local pub for food.
The hotel is tired and shabby. Probably fabulous once but definitely past its prime. Breakfast poor and the coffee was like dishwater.
Breakfast was great, staff were very friendly.
When we arrived the room light was on with the window open, so it was full of flies and moths. Carpet was grubby, and bathroom smelt of drains.
Beautiful location, excellent value for money
Over charged at the Service hatch for breakfast takeaway and then the breakfast roll was missing hash brown id paid extra for. Shower in room too hot, unable to change temperature. Fan in room inadequate for hot weather, it was extremely small and not very effective.
I was happy with the low price but presumably the premises are undergoing modernisation, but I was very pleased with the disability access room and wet room,
got lost three times trying to find my way to and from the disabled car park
Breakfast was very good and staff serving were pleasant and helpfull as were all the staff at Wortley hall , the hotel is in a quiet location which makes it a very relaxing stay.
Evening meal was excellent and reasonably priced
Drinks at bar expensive
Comfortable and nice with ample environment
Abit far from the train station
Lots of choice, good food
