Cons:

Ne changez rien.

Joyful. That’s it….oh, & I’ll be back!
Pros:

Clare could not have been a better host! We had excellent communication in advance of the trip & during the three night stay, she really couldn’t have been more kind, helpful or friendly. Everything about the accommodation was perfect & the breakfasts were varied, tailored & delicious. Wonderful company too who went above & beyond to make my days easy & memorable.

Cons:

Absolutely nothing negative to report.

Very nice, but be aware that you're not renting the whole property.
Pros:

Lovely location, friendly host, delicious breakfast.

Cons:

Despite it being eventually apparent if you look all the way down the information on the property, it's not entirely clear that this is a homestay, i.e. a private bedroom and bathroom in someone's home that they are otherwise present in. Some of the amenities listed and pictures of the property could easily lead one to believe you are renting the WHOLE property when, for example, you don't really have access to the lounge (and therefore to Netflix, which is listed in the amenities). It was still a perfectly pleasant stay but we were obliged to stay in our 10'x8' bedroom for longer than was ideal.

Gorgeous home stay
Pros:

Clare gave me an exceptionally warm and friendly welcome whilst respecting my own space. It was an honour to share her cottage - you have the bathroom and bedroom upstairs to yourself. Her homemade breakfast compote is to die for and if you've never been in an English cottage you'll get a lovely idea of one. The location is tops and incredibly quiet, no light smog so starry skies. This village is unspoilt and with lovely little shops, tea rooms, the subtropical gardens ....
I absolutely loved it!

Cons:

Remember: cottages in England are smaller and stairs are steeper than on the continent!

Loved the village and the location of the property. Lovely cottage in the centre of the village. Quiet and cosy. Great breakfast cooked for us each morning by our host, Clare.

Great accomodation in a gorgeous little village.
Pros:

We loved our stay at No 5 in Abbotsbury. Clare made us feel right at home which was lovely. Our room was comfortable and very clean and Clare provided us with a very yummy breakfast. We loved the village and the walks were could do from there. We went to The Swannery, the beach and to the Sun-Tropical Gardens. All amazing. Thanks Clare 😊

Cons:

Nothing.

Nice place to stay for a couple of days.
Pros:

Abbotsbury is a pretty village. We travelled by bus, which was easy.
Around the village, there were honesty boxes outside of people's houses where they were selling their surplus veg and eggs. Which was nice. There's only one pub for evening meals, but it was fine.
Claire left us lots of reading material for places to see around Abbotsbury, which was very useful. I think we got to most of the attractions.
There's also a nice local shop.
We caught the open top bus to Weymouth, which was lovely.

Cons:

The road through the village was quite busy, we needed to take care when crossing the road.
The local beach is Chessel beach, and swimming there is not recommended. We found it virtually impossible to walk on the beach.

Cons:

Pros:

It is absolutely perfect for my needs, visiting family in the area. Very cosy room and tastefully decorated. Few lovely touches, especially the tipple of sherry in the room. Claire was an excellent host. Lovely breakfast.

Cons:

Minor point , but one suggestion , bigger mug in the room for morning drink .
Bells from the church opposite woke me several times but soon drifted off again and not really an issue unless you are a poor sleeper.

Perfect location if you want to explore the immediate area for a weekend or have a Wedding to attend in the village like
Pros:

Lovely quiet location, good parking, and Claire was a fantastic host serving a delicious breakfast of bacon & eggs, and yoghurt with homemade fruit compote. The picture below is the view from the room.

Cons:

The mattress was slightly uncomfortable for my partner, but to be fair she is very fussy over such things and we’re used to a large Kingsize and this was a regular size.
