PHP BOUTIQUE TOWNHOUSE

As per booking confirmation, we were to get two 2 rooms with queen sized beds and one King Suite (as they called it) with a king sized bed+ a side bench broad enough for one person to sleep. WHAT WE GOT WAS 3 rooms with Queen beds (one of the rooms had a two seater sofa, which they claimed as King suite). We learned next morning that the KIng suite did exist as said but it was allotted to some other guests. WE FEEL CHEATED. Also, on checking in, they demanded 50% payment, when as per Booking.com payment was to be paif=d when checking out. Also, inspite of asking, we could not speak to the owner and the staff who insisted on us accepting their terms was rude.

It was value for money, not excellent but okay 👍

(1) We had to pay in cash (only rupees accepted)! Despite claiming that "cards accepted", my card (and those of my colleagues, 3 cards in total) were rejected by POS terminal. For 5 days the staff pretented to work on the solution, ultimately they demanded cash. We had to withdraw almost 100k rupees from an ATM. It took more than 24 hours for the staff to prepare the receipt. For a whole day you have neither the money nor the proof you paid.

(2) I have never experienced being disturbed at a hotel BY A STAFF MEMBER! One of the hotel employees loves to sit on the staircase and listen to loud music from his phone EVERY NIGHT, until ca. 1:00 AM! We had to ask him several times to turn it down. The room/cleaning service does not even restock the toilet paper in the bathroom (well, once they even took what was left there).

(3) The breakfast is a joke, even considering the price. You have to order it a day before from an almost unreadable "menu". Some items are okay, some are ridiculous. If I order a "croissant", I expect to get a croissant with some butter or jam at least. Nope, you only get a dry (and already slightly stale) piece of pastry on a plate.

All written in the website was not correct. I asked for room with Balcony but the neighbors window was so close that I cannot even open curtain. Also I asked for payment of credit card, and was admitted but in the end, international credit card was not accepted. All those should be explained before and my feeling was different if it were. Plus water in the room smelled very bad.

Rooms did not live up to expectations set by the photos, and one staff member was impolite and tried to scam us for 2000 rupees.

The bed was very hard (to a point where it hurt to sleep on the side), we were only provided with a single towel for a double room for two adults, and the bathroom (especially shower head) was grimy. In our friends’ room the safe didn’t have a key, and the kettle wasn’t working either.

The check in was disappointing. Website and what we initially got were not the same. Eventually staff did good job accommodating and I appreciate that.
