Room was clean lovely continental breakfast
In need of TLC need more sockets as not any at mirror
This is a basic overnight stay. It was satisfactory without getting beyond that. Although it's alwayd nice to be greeted on arrival, access worked well, and emailed instructions were clear and easy to understand.
It was small, especially the en suite, and condensation had led to considerable black mould on the glass and window frame. The breakfast (which we didn't know about until the confirmatory email on the day of arrival, and which we did not sample) looked unappetising, and with no staff present, was very basic!
Great location
Breakfast was appalling - totally understand that it’s not worth paying staff to make a cooked breakfast out of season but it would be better to have nothing at all and just stick to the tea / coffee in the room.
Great location..clean bedding and towels. Comfortable bed. Nice warm heater. Lots of mirrors.
Had a nice stay.
Room too cluttered with ornaments and sofa in corner. Large chair in corner not necessary and taking up too much space. Would be better without four poster style bed. ( just my personal opinion. Not a compaint)
No shower gel ( we used the hand wash at sink)
No bin liner and only one bin( in toilet. ).
Kettle wasn't cordless so had to unplug to fill.
Stumbled across this place , what can I say little hidden gem . Value for money & great staff .
Thankyou to Bradley & Ian such lovely people & great knowledge of the area . ( Added bonus dog friendly )
Nothing
Easy access to room, lovely room and facilities. Loved the decor and the atmosphere.
WiFi wasn't great and couldn't turn the heating down but understand that this is a very old building so can't be 100% perfect.
location is handy in the center of the village
Still trash in the bin in the bedroom from previous guests. Although we were warned that breakfast was very limited, the pastries were out of date, tables dirty and water lukewarm for coffee.
Great location.
Very enjoyable stay. Staff were very accommodating and provided extra heating on request as it was a particularly cold weekend,
All good. No complaints.
Well positioned
The room was small and dirty. The moquette had dirt on it and the sheet had fur and crumbs. The bathroom was so tiny one could barely move inside
Everyone at the hotel was friendly and welcoming, they would do anything to help you, answer questions tell you what's nearby and the room was clean and cosy
NA
Location. Very friendly barman. Scot made our stay enjoyable.
First room, twin beds, not what we expected. Fortunately Scot was able to change room to a very nice and comfortable double.
We chose this accommodation for the location - a nice coastal location, where we could meet up with family who were close by. Great coastal walks, affordable places to eat, and a warm room to come back to afterwards.
The room was a bit tired and very small. Personally I think it was a stretch calling this a Family room, and I'm glad our child is old enough to sit still! Our clothes stayed in bags under the bed because there was nowhere else for them: I couldn't use the hanging rail because it was right over the kettle (which got a fair bit of use). The heating wasn't working, but they had supplied extra plug-in heaters, so we were not cold. We weren't in it much, so none of this bothered us. But sadly the noise did. We were expecting it to be quiet, out of season, but were instead kept awake two nights in a row by live music (which was OK in the early evening, but was followed by recorded music till the early hours). We struggled with our early starts after that. Also, I had to get up in the middle of the first night to remake the bed because the under-sheet just would not stay on. I thought it was the wrong size, but it was put on the wrong way round. My daughter slept on the sofa bed, but said it was not comfortable. Despite all this, because of the great location, two of us would probably come back for a shorter stay, if we could chose a quieter room away from the bar. More info on which nights and which rooms were 'quiet' (on the website description) could have helped us make a better choice.
Great location and staff would do anything for you, so friendly. Great value for money which included a complimentary continental breakfast which was as an added bonus. We booked room only. So nice surprise x
A couple of things only the carpets in room need a good Hoover. The bathroom a couple of plastic cups would help
Location.
Nice effort to make sure rom was warm.
Self check-in is really impersonal. Room the tiniest room I have ever been in, especially for a twin room. Kettle didn’t seem to work. Shower cubicle tiny too
