Location.
Nice effort to make sure rom was warm.
Self check-in is really impersonal. Room the tiniest room I have ever been in, especially for a twin room. Kettle didn’t seem to work. Shower cubicle tiny too
Location good.
Room absolutely freezing cold. Heating did not work. The electric heater wasn't big enough for the room. Couldn't make a cup of tea because the kettle was dirty both inside and out. Have come home with a sore back because of bed. Had to pay for bottle of water in room. Stairs were very narrow and should be signposted as such.
Good location and very clean
Tiny room with very little space to hang clothes. The television didn’t show live channels, could only access through apps such as iPlayer etc . There were no staff around to ask about it as the hotel was self check in and out.
Wonderfully clean and convenient for centre
Very handy for shops, restaurants and buses. Very clean, comfortable bed, good tv. Limited parking outside but we found all day parking a couple of minutes away.
Too many cushions that got in our way. No lighting or plug points at mirror/dressing table. The upright bed posts obstructed access to window and kettle.
Terrific location. Easy access. Comfortable bed. Nice, clean bathroom!
The WiFi machine makes some noise overnight, but it's a minor issue.
The room was clean.
No bin in the bedroom. Poor electrical safety(light not correctly fixed to ceiling & Cover plate loose therefore potential for electric shock),, television stopped working, adjustable bedside light didn't adjust towards the bed.
The bar is great, friendly staff.
Just had a good vibe
Nothing
The staff were lovely, i cant remember all their names but the guy at the bar who looks a bit like a pirate was lovely and Ian was really helpful and there was a lady with long hair who was helpful too.
The breakfast wasnt great to be honest but it was certainly adequate.
Clean comfortable bed , additional heater provided as room was cold , but once heater on room comfortably warm .
Delux room booked for 3adults , fortunately our child didn’t come as there definitely wouldn’t have been room for him . Variety of furniture squashed into room , decor tired especially bathroom .
Breakfast included , dinning area tired , dirty , food available , apples , pots of porridge , pre - packed biscuits . No staff anywhere other than very pleasant bar staff to assist on arrival but maybe result of time of year Xmas holidays . Breakfast definitely self service and worst I’ve ever experienced .
The bar staff were excellent. Great atmosphere and spotless rooms
Incredible location, especially if your kids like mine are avid sea glass and sea pottery collectors! The room (coastal suite) was perfect for us (mum and 2 kids) we had a double bed and a sofa bed which was a single but slightly wider I would say and was made up for us on arrival. Hot shower for after exploring and Netflix access for movie nights :) teas and coffees in room and a very reasonably priced mini bar which doubled as a fridge if you needed. Air con and extra heater were provided in the room but not needed at all the room was a lovely temperature throughout our stay. I had been nervous after reading some reviews (after I had booked) but I'm glad we gave it the chance :) Perfect for us as a lovely warm place to sleep after days of exploring. 1 night we ate out in one of the many food places nearby and the 2nd night we got takeaway from the wee chippy and brought it to the room. Breakfast you just help yourself too cereal, toast, fruit, yoghurt, pain au chocolat or a cereal bar. Nothing fancy but great to fuel up the kids before we went out.
There was nothing particularly didn't like but I'm used to the air bnb style hotels now. There isnt any storage for clothes etc which was fine for us as only 2 nights. I can see it might be off -putting for those who mistakenly expect like a hotel with reception and staff etc. However if you do your research and understand it's fully self catering and that there is no restaurant (as stated on their website) through the winter you will enjoy it.
