I would book again when stay in Anstruther.
Pros:

Great location close to everything, but tucked away. I also enjoyed the Tunnocks tea cakes as a pillow welcome.

Cons:

The shower head was a bit of a pain to replace, but I discovered a knack to it. Also the large towels could have been larger.

A lovely room in a fabulous location. The staff were lovely and it had all the right things in place for a fabulous stay
Pros:

Rooms and surroundings in the hotel area were lovely, clean and well managed.

Cons:

A continental breakfast is provided downstairs in the front bar which was not used as such when we were there. It’s pleasant and has a few great options for food choice - bread, toast, cereal, juice and sweet breakfast snacks. - however the on wasn’t switched on and so the coffee/tea facilities were unusable and one of the milks were out of date.
I think unfortunately the preparation for the World Cup starting meant this was less of a priority but the staff were lovely and tried to get it sorted for us.

Not worth the price, won't be back
Pros:

It's in a good location.

Cons:

The room is very small despite being a junior suite which is their largest room.
The hotel functions like an Airbnb, there is no staff around to help at all. I found the building door downstairs wide open 3 times. It is unsafe. The only security between me and the outside world was my room door.
The shower cubicle is so small I could barely move inside and I'm only 8 stone.
The main lights inside the room did not work at all.

Good but not the best value for money
Pros:

The location is ideal, right in the centre. The decor in the bedroom was stylish. Bed was comfy. Keyless entry worked well. Beer garden is nice. Having a fridge in the room was great.

Cons:

No toilet roll in room on arrival, however when messaged this was brought promptly. The decor in the toilet does not match the aesthetic of the room. Toilet seat is chipped and wobbly (I see a previous review mentions this and it hasn’t been sorted). Cracked mirror at sink on one side (mentioned in previous review and not sorted). Noisy room - walls thin. Could do with glasses in the room, and teabags. The selection at breakfast was very poor - was like kids snacks (chocolate toaster waffles, chocolate pancake rolls you would put in a kids lunch box etc). We bought breakfast each morning instead. Cannot see tv from 4 poster bed - one post obstructs the view. Could do with a table to sit at rather than all the chairs.

Would not return or recommend this hotel
Pros:

Location and bar staff were really helpful and friendly

Cons:

Place is in need of serious upgrade. Overpriced compared to much better hotels in the area. So called continental breakfast was disgraceful. Out of date bread and fruit the had gone bad days ago. Not a breakfast.

Great location, friendly staff, room needs attention though.
Pros:

Breakfast sufficient. Staff very friendly. Perfect location.

Cons:

Checking in was chaotic, taken to wrong location and then no external code given. Room could be improved, chair and sofa need removing to make space for wardrobe. Also, television needs relocation as cannot see properly from bed. Hospitality tray needs teabags, biscuits and water. Bathroom had broken toilet seat and cracked shaving mirror, toiletries need upgrade.
