Check in information very good with videos showing how to access parking and the check in procedure. Staff very helpful when we arrived 20 minutes before check in time and couldn't get in as access code not activated until check in time. The lady opened the door for me and got my key, which then allowed access.
Expected the tea/coffee/milk to be replenished daily and it wasn't. We had 1 coffee pod, 1 tea bag and 3 of the little milks you get in hotels for the 3 days we were there. There were 3 oat 'milk' tubes (like you get on planes) and 2 decaff coffees, and that was it. There was also a light buld missing from a bedside light that I reported but nothing was done about it. There didn't appear to be any staff easily contactable there (the one I saw on the way in was a chance meeting as she just happened to be going to their other office while I was around). The room itself was ok but I wouldn't stay there again.
Location
It was too hot in the room and there was advertised air conditioning but it was just a fan in the room.
It is a short pleasant stroll by the river from the railway station.
Entry and check in is easy.
The room is clean and comfortable.
Minor hiccup with the check in email where the link stopped working after a single use.
Otherwise nothing I didn't like
Good location for the Shrewsbury centre and the railway station . Good sized car park . Great shower. Comfy Bed
We did not think that our room or communal areas had had a vacuum or seen a duster in a long time ...dark hair and balls of fluff all over the carpets. Dirty window ledges . Only 1 sachet of milk. Bedside light not working .
In need of a good clean for sure . Electrical item plugs 'safety testing' out of date .
Convenient location. Clean room. Comfortable but small double bed
Baking hot. We couldn’t leave blind open with windows open due to being overlooked in room 2. Pub behind was really noisy making it even more difficult to get to sleep. Finally, 2 tea bags and 2 small sachets of milk. A bit mean when the accommodation is over £100 a night
Excellent location. The room was better than expected, the fridge was a nice addition. Neutral bright decor and parking was a bonus, they let us park up earlier to the check in time. Had aircon which was great during the heatwave.
The entrance was unkept and a little creepy. Full of cobwebs and looked abandoned. The room was mostly clean, the bedding was nice and fresh but the carpets hadn't been vacuumed and there were cobwebs across the ceiling in both the room and bathroom. Windows had cobwebs/ dead flies and had not been cleaned.
Central location and safe parking
The room needs a deep clean and the entrance to the main hotel is via what looks like an old indoor/outdoor bar.
Location was very central, parking and directions were clear.
Having a fridge in the room was great for keeping items cool.
Unfortunately due to the hot weather the heat in the room was unbearable, a circulating fan doesn't count as air conditioning. The extractor fan for the bathroom needs repaired as it wasn't working, really noisy if switched on, one of the bed sidelights wasn't working either. Having a fridge in the room also kicks out heat from the condenser which puts more heat in the room.
Nice decor, decent sized, great location for getting my into town, had parking, good locking system, air con, nice coffee machine
Wasn’t very clean, dead flies on window ledge, marks on the duvet cover, sheets felt damp I think from air con though, windows were wide open when we got there so room full of flies and moths, floor hadn’t been hoovered, Needed more milk in room, bizarre entrance area to hotel downstairs, no black out blinds so too light in the room with street lights, NO FULL LENGTH MIRROR! A must for ladies getting ready for a night out.
The place was clean, bed was very comfortable. The shower was nice and the air con was amazing in the hot weather.
There was only one tea bag and 2 little pots of milk.
Air con was brilliant. Bed brilliant. Shower brilliant. Location brilliant. Parking brilliant.
Place was absolutely filthy. Windows filthy. Blinds broken. Mirror broken. Windows filthy. No toilet roll. No cleaning staff. NOT A HOTEL. No mention of 30 + stairs and as an invalid and pensioners (both mid 70s) struggled to get upstairs. IT IS NOT A HOTEL. Sorry but although lovely location and ideal location for Shrewsbury it was filthy. No cleaning staff around.
Easy check in and great location close to the centre
Great location with parking easy walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. Our room and bathroom were good in size with the added bonus that our room had an air conditioning unit in place as it was warm whilst there
Not a problem as such but would recommend screenshotting the entry code as I had no signal in the car park so had to go for a walk until I could get the info needed!
