State of the facilities
I have stayed here a couple of times previously and it is ideal for single travellers as you have the choice between shared facilities and en suite. I don’t think the shared facilities are share among that many as they are always spotlessly clean like the rooms. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms are well-equipped. Just remember that this one is paid at the property rather than through booking.com to save any embarrassment! The large car park is easy to manoeuvre in, although there is a small charge of £3pn. The hotel is on a fairly busy junction, but you only notice the traffic during rush hour. It is a little way out of Gateshead on the road to Teams, so it’s location depends on your requirements, but I found it handy being close to some local major roads and the A1. The Wi-Fi works very well and the TV is a good size.
Nothing really, although I cannot comment on the breakfast as English is not really what you want in hot weather.
Nothing was a shit hole
Toilet didn’t flush room was disgustingly dirty with a sec toy under the bed
Close enough to Newcastle centre with a short walk
The staff was so wonderful and really tried to make it accommodating, they let me check in early and took in account my bags so put me on a easy access room
You could hear everything it was so loud at all hours
The bathroom window was extremely hard to close
The room had a large amount of dust in visible places
The shower didn’t work properly
Good room at bottom no3
Comfy bed
Quiet night
Good location
Like the smoking area round the side
More pillows needed
Usual with this place not every room has tv remote
The staff were very helpful and accommodating
Very helpful staff
The staff were friendly but the hotel is massively run down
The hotel was really run down, with dodgy electrics, plugs didn’t work, had hardly any power the room was overly hot and the windows didn’t open, the walls were all marked and dents in them, the beds were clean but really uncomfortable. We asked for an extension cable and were given a man made one with a completely different plug to the cable, botched job. Very disappointed
Nothing terrible place
Nothing really
Shower was broken, shower tray was broken and patched badly. No hair drier despite asking. Food smeared on the wall. Small midget flies in the room. No access to fans or cold drinks as the vending was terrible. Bed was not comfortable and quite frankly, we were stitched up. Fore panel had a fault on it, staff did not understand english. Would not have paid what I did, had I have known.
Nothing
Everything was wrong the bathroom the bed the
Nothing
Everything
Location and price
Far from spotless. Uncomfortable mattress. Cupboard door hanging off to left of bed. Strip of flooring detached on step to shower
Managerment is amazing cleaning staff brilliant
Everything exceeded my expectations
Nothing really, place wasn’t clean.
Body hair left in bed, showering and toilet facilities had faeces on toilet paper and urine on floor of shower, carpet was very dirty couldn’t remove shoes due to this, missing latch from window which made this property feel very unsafe as we were ground floor, walls were dirty and water wasn’t running properly in the sink in room, had to pay to use car park on top of hotel cost
At last minute provided a ready family room when nearby Stadium apartments let us down at that stage. A great sized room and friendly/helpful team members.
We booked breakfast for 8am, we're then told unconvincingly that it would be ready shortly and to wait in our room, then after half an hour when we had to leave we approached a different member of staff who told us that the chef was off ill. Would rather be told up front rather than be delayed! Not enough to put us off returning though
