In the end I couldn't use any of my paid services, but paid the full 5 nights there. What a scam.
Pros:

It's at the beach, the food is ok and the people were generally friendly.

Cons:

Be careful and check room availability first or go to some serious hotel!

I paid for 5 nights. I was promised a room in 30 minutes, since I was there around 11AM. Then, no room was available. I was brought to another hotel. Furtado paid the other hotel a little compensation, in the end I paid the rest to the second hotel and didn't get any compensation from Furtado. They said, I have to contact booking.com, but booking is not responsible for a refund that one pays at the hotel directly. Until now, I haven't seen any refund from Furtado. The person in charge was also very hesitant to discuss this topic in person and pushed me to contact booking, which didn't bring anything. After an intial exchange with booking, they also don't responde to me. I feel scammed.

Regarding the second hotel: It was great! I told Furtado and the second hotel, that I will stay the full stay there and don't want to move back to Furtado after the two initial nights. Both agreed. But Furtado still didn't compensate the rest they owe me.

Först såg de till att jag betalade för bokningen sen gav de oss ett rum i länga istf det beachhus med balkong som jag bokat och betalat för. Tips, kolla rummet innan du betalar. Glipor i dörren gör det extra lyhört. Rummet, trasiga krokar = inga krokar, skavda plaststolar, fläckiga bord och lakan. Rummet är i stort behov av renovering. Städning endast om du säger till, då städar man och byter lakan. Varje kväll var det bokat event där man spelade hög musik så förvänta er inte lugn och ro på Furtado’s för det får ni inte. En kväll spelades det till kl 01. Servicen i restaurangen är långsam och levereras fragmenterat dvs du får inte allt du beställt på en gång. Tidigare recensioner bekräftar det jag nämnt ovan, ofta med svare från Furtado’s ”we will look into it” vilket de naturligtvis inte har gjort. Jag kan inte rekommendera detta ställe.

Staff great, location good however let down by the misrepresentation of the accommodation.

The location was good.

Cons:

Room not as advertised, once full they continue to sell the original rooms at normal price however on arrival you are given old basic rooms but charged the premium rate. No hot water available, locks on doors broken, poor in comparison to other properties along the beach.

Perfect.
Pros:

Had a great stay. Perfect location on the beach. Large room. Hot water showers. Great staff - rooms cleaned at request. Clean bedding & towels changed when asked. Great restaurant - much cheaper than others in the area. Bimal was exceptional helping with taxi’s, info etc. very attentive to customers
