Good value, clean and comfortable!
Pros:

I was pleasantly surprised because most mid range hotels in El Salvador are not worth the price but Casa Sunzal was comfortable, clean, and relaxing. My young son and I shared the Junior Suite with two queen beds. It was very clean and spacious, the bathroom was also spacious and modern (looks brand new). It has two desks for working, and a large walk in closet. The wi-fi was incredible too so I recommend for digital nomads. The a/c also worked great!

The food was good, they offer room service, and the staff were warm, friendly and helpful. We opted to have breakfast brought to our balcony to enjoy the outdoors.

It is a very unassuming property at first glance, but cute and tasteful, surrounded by lush vegetation, quiet despite being next to the highway and near restaurants and businesses. Expect the usual wear and tear on the property from humidity, some discoloration on the bottom of the pool (however, it IS clean). The hotel is centrally located so you can walk to the beach and restaurants, or drive to shopping centers a little farther away.

Casa Sunzal is a really good value overall.

An accidental Gem was found.
Pros:

Staff was exceptional. Yvonne, Brenda, Vilma and resident dog Lilly made our stay wonderful! Outdoor shower was definitely a star. We'll be returning next time in El Tunco.

Cons:

Wished the rooms had screens.

I booked my room at 1230 by 1250 am I arrived at the property which we had a hard time finding the location of the hotel then the supposedly 24/7 receptionist was some guy who had fallen a sleep because he was soooo drunk so I called the number that was registered and some lady answered and after I explained everything she said cancel your booking 200 dollars a night was not worth it no professionalism hard time finding location and someone finally assisted after one hour of being outside waiting . So when I decide I wasn’t going to stay and just cancel my booking the lady tried charging my card multiple times and accused me of disturbing and being drunk mind you I don’t drink alcohol at all or the two other girls that where with me . Do not trust this hotel with your personal information totally not worth the cost either..

The property didn’t give what they offer … it was supposed to be 200 ft from el tunco center is was actually very far … very difficult to get to the location with a car …I decided not to stay … didn’t meet what they promised in regards to the place

Extremely enjoyable..
Pros:

Staff was very accommodating.. Food was well beyond expectations. Quite affordable for the quality. Lovely, well maintained pool.. Rooms are a bit dated but well above average for the price range. We will be staying there again for the last few days before we leave.

Cons:

Minor maintenance required. The sliding door needs either adjustment or new slider wheels. A few spots require paint touch ups.. Cabinet door for the television needs new latches.. All in all, nothing worse than being at home..
