Amazing location close to Pidurangula rock and Lion's rock. The food at the property was by far the best I had on my trip! The owner Lakmal and his wife are the warmest people around. Lakmal took me round on the tuktuk at 5am to watch the sunrise at pidurangula rock.
We appreciated Lakhmal's facility hospitality. His wife and Lakhmal cook very god and are willing to prepare for you traditional breakfast, also dinner you will realy enjoy. Apartment is lopatek in the corner of the village in the touch with jungle, so you will have animals close to you, easy to watch them.
My stay here was absolutely amazing! I was cared for so lovingly when I arrived a little sick, and soon I was ready to join the most stunning safari tour, organized and accompanied by the owner. He recommended watching the sunrise at Pidurangala Rock, told me the perfect time to start, and even took me to the entrance himself early in the morning. If you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful stay, with wildlife right outside your window and just a few steps away from all the wonderful activities Sigiriya has to offer, I can highly recommend this place!
Vše bylo čisté, moc hezký dům. Přestože bylo přes den 38 stupňů, tak v noci bylo příjemně, AC nebyla vůbec potřeba. Kolem chodí pávy, lítají papoušci. Jídlo nám chutnalo. Doporučuji
Je potřeba počítat s tím, že po setmění se nemá chodit ven, protože v okolí se mohou pohybovat sloni.
The location is perfect, just a short distance from the entrance to Pidurangala, making it an ideal base for an early sunrise hike. The highlight was the amazing terrace, from which we could watch plenty of wildlife right in front of us. The owner was extremely helpful – he drove us to the entrance for sunrise, arranged a memorable night jungle trek where we spotted a slow loris, and was always ready to take us anywhere or bring anything we needed.
The rooms could have been cleaner.

Оставались на две ночи с завтраками и ужинами. Расположение позволяет дойти пешком до подъёма на Пидерангала и быстро на авто до Сигирии. Принимающая семья была очень приветливой, готовили шикарные ужины и завтраки. Нам также подсказали, как оптимизировать наше путешествие. Предлагали местное сафари, но мы не воспользовались. Была парковка, но не было кондиционера, только вентилятор, но для данного периода в этой местности это было преемлемо.
Отсутствие кондиционера может быть существенным в другую погоду.
Very kind host, drove us to Pidurangula at 5 am and the dinner was very, very good! Great location. There are busses going to Dambulla at 9:30 and 10:30 am at the big road next to the hotel.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt hier. Meine Schwester und ich waren nur eine Nacht da, aber die Gastgeber waren super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir wurden sogar für einen sehr guten Preis mit dem TukTuk nach Dambulla gebracht und wieder abgeholt. Und auch am nächsten Tag bis zur Bushaltestelle (ca. 30 Minuten), um den Bus nach Trincomalee zu erreichen. Das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich, aber super lecker. Zudem wurden wir um 5 Uhr morgens kostenlos von der Unterkunft bis zum Pidurangala Rock von den Gastgebern gebracht (nur 5 Minuten mit dem TukTuk). Die Lage ist perfekt für eine Wanderung zum Pidurangala Rock, aber auch die Fahrt ins Zentrum von Sigiriya ist nicht weit. Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen, Preis-Leistung ist top ☺️
The house is in a beautiful location and very close to the access to the Two Rocks.
The breakfast is the most delicious and unique I've had in all my days in Sri Lanka.
The night of my stay, the owner did me the favor of picking me up in town to take me to the house, a five-minute ride. When I was paying my bill, I asked if I could also be charged for that trip, but he said he wouldn't, that he didn't want to charge me, that it wasn't a big deal.
When I checked the amounts, the figure wasn't correct; he was charging me more money than I should have (and it wasn't a currency conversion error). When I asked for a correction, he got so upset that he actually tried to charge me for the motorcycle ride, and he did so by an excessive amount, so I ended up paying more than the original bill indicated. This was his way of "punishing" me and caused a very awkward moment. This detail marred my stay at the house.

Breakfast was not the best we've had in sri lanka
The room and ceiling was really dirty... It's kind of the environment with insects and bugs but i think it was because the door did not close all the way. That's not a nice feeling to sleep with an open door in a place with wild elephants, monkeys, snakes, frogs,....
The friendly and helpful family made me give this place a lot more than i'd give in the first place. Sorry but would not stay here again.
No hot water, only one half usable outlet (you'll have to put the table under it so it would work).
The price is yet very fair though. Expect some mold, fungus and bugs.

Stayed for 3 nights. Beautiful and big rooms, with a big balcony, overlooking rice fields, where you. A spot wildlife. Surrounded by nature and locals. Really tranquil. Amazing breakfast! The host was friendly and helpful. Not far from every major attraction.
We could walk to Pudurangala Rock in 12-15 minutes. The owner was kind enough to pick us up at night after our hike.
The location didn't have much choice in restaurants so we had dinner there. The breakfast was delicious, but the dinner and beer we felt were expensive for what we got.
