Babu Villas

L’emplacement face à la plage, la gentillesse et la disponibilité du staff, le petit déjeuner (jus de fruit frais, omelette, yahourt maison et granola). Nous avions la villa familiale. Elle est très spacieuse et bien équipée avec tout ce qu’il faut pour cuisiner si jamais on le souhaite. Nous étions les seuls occupants et avons donc pu profiter de la piscine juste pour nous. Nous y avons passés deux nuits et y serions bien restés un peu plus longtemps.

het appartement zelf was ruim, prachtige kamers, heel smaakvol ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien.
De bedden waren hard maar we sliepen als prinsesjes! Het ontbijt was verrukkelijk en in overvloed waardoor we er ook nog een lunch aan overhielden. We hadden het appartement tegenover het zwembad en hebben genoten van het uitzicht. Gedurende de dag veranderde het uitzicht, eb en vloed, de houten dhowboten die uitvoeren, wandelaars, locale bevolking die bezig waren met allerlei werkzaamheden. Het leek wel een constante film zo mooi!
We hadden het zwembad bijna altijd voor onszelf omdat de andere gasten er minder gebruik van maakten. In de omgeving langs het strand waren genoeg leuke restaurants om te eten. (wel bijna Europese prijzen) Het dorp Jambiani is nog authentiek en de mensen zijn vriendelijk. We hebben via de accomodatie ook excursies geboekt. Vooraf de boottocht en kruidentoer waren geweldig en goed geregeld.
Iedereen van Babu villas was zeer vriendelijk en we voelden ons zeer welkom.

Als ik ooit weer naar Zanzibar mag komen, dan zou ik hier zeker weer willen verblijven!

Our family of four (we have two adult children) had a wonderful three-night stay at Babu Villas!

Mélie met us when we arrived and oriented us to the property and the area. Throughout our stay, she helped us book cabs, restaurants, and even kite surfing lessons. She and her staff are real gems!

Each morning, villa staff made us incredible breakfasts of eggs, crêpes, gorgeous fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, granola, and more, which we ate outside, overlooking the pool area and the beach.

The location is beautiful, right on the beach, where traditional fishing boats bob. The pool area is so inviting, with soft sand, coconut palms, lounge chairs, and hammocks. Perfect for relaxing and reading.

Our beds were comfortable, and we appreciated the AC there. The bathrooms were nice and spacious. We appreciated having the kitchen, which allowed us to refrigerate breakfast food and reheat leftovers from dinner.

Within walking distance, there is an ATM, a small market, local fruit stands, and @home, a cafe with very good coffee. We also had some nice dinners at the restaurant of the Passion Boutique Hotel, a few doors down.

We all wish we had more time to spend at the villas, and if we ever have the good fortune to return to Zanzibar, this is where we will stay!

Babu Villas made everything on Sansibar perfect for us. It was the place, where we could just look at the indian ocean, start a walk at the beach, stay in or outside the appartement and enjoy everything around it. It is the perfect quite place for reading, looking and just being. The team was always there when we had questions and for the daily support. The breakfast was delicious, every day with fresh food. Very helpful tipps for restaurants are given by the team. We would definitely come again to Babu Villas.

I loved nearly everything about Babu Villas. It is a true gem: The grounds and rooms are lovely with just the perfect balance of wonderful artisan decor but also a welcoming place that feels like home. The location is absolutely wonderful: Just off the beach and in the laid back vibe of Jambiana. Most exceptional of all were the amazing staff - Mélie, Rehema, and crew-- who were charming, incredibly responsive and helpful, and always made us feel authentically welcomed and at home. Without a doubt one of the most wonderful experiences I have ever had at a guesthouse or B&B or VRBO.

Ein ganz besonderes Juwel mit liebevoll gestalteter Einrichtung😍 Die Lage ist im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Hotels außergewöhnlich, da man als Gast viele Einblicke-besonders am Strand - in das Leben der Bewohner des Ortes bekommt. Man wohnt eben mittendrin.
Alle, die unseren Aufenthalt mitgestaltet haben, haben ihr Bestes gegeben, damit wir uns rundum wohl fühlen konnten.

Ein unvergesslicher Urlaub bei Babus Villas!
Mein erwachsener Sohn und ich haben zwei wunderbare Wochen in der geräumigen 3-Zimmer-Ferienwohnung verbracht. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt gegenüber dem Swimmingpool, ist sehr gut ausgestattet und bietet alles, was man für ein gemütliches Urlaubsgefühl braucht.
Besonders beeindruckt hat uns der großzügige Außenbereich mit vielen Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten – ideal zum Entspannen. Jeden Morgen starteten wir mit einem frisch zubereiteten Frühstück, das uns den Tag versüßt hat.
Weil die Unterkunft direkt am Strand liegt, konnten wir das tägliche Spiel von Ebbe und Flut, die uns immer wieder aufs Neue faszinierte, beobachten.
Ein herzliches Dankeschön an das äußerst freundliche Team und vor allem an die herzliche und hilfsbereite Besitzerin Mélie!

Our stay at Babu could have not been better. I would go back here in a heartbeat and I am definitely recommending it to my friends and colleagues. The beach where the place is located is perfect if you want to relax, we went to visit others such as Paje and they were just too busy for us. The sea is gorgeous, when the tide is low it is the perfect place to be as you can just walk to the sandbanks. The property is spacious and is meticulously thought and looked after. The garden is stunning and the pool has enough shade and sun for you to pick. The views from our villa was just stunning. The beds are big and the bathrooms are too. Melie looked after us super well and her recommendations for trips were always spot on. We had the chef at night for a few nights and it was delicious and totally worth the money. The breakfast in the morning was the best pancakes ever, amazing jam, granola, yoghurt, fruit, different breads etc.. I travelled with a nearly 2 year old and it was the perfect place to her too, everyone was welcoming to her and they even arranged a car seat! I hope to come here again soon!

Decorado con estilo

The location was perfect, right on the beach. The villa was beautifully decorated with personal touches that created a very relaxed vibe. We truly felt as if we were in paradise and could never tire of the view from our terrace. The staff were exceptionally nice, especially Melie, the manager, who was incredibly helpful and a lovely person. She explained everything thoroughly, and even when she wasn’t on-site, she was just a message away, offering her support.

Reyhema and Mwanajuma were also very nice andhelpful. They brought us delicious, plentiful breakfasts in the morning, complete with fresh fruits and homemade pastries. My boys wanted eggs and pancakes, and they made them specifically for us. Additionally, when my husband had a bit of a cold, Reyhema prepared a lovely homemade ginger and lemon tea. Mwanajuma also took the initiative to make us delicious tea with fresh lemongrass.

On our last day, we had a personal issue, and Melie and Reyhema went above and beyond to assist us, with Reyhema coming to the villa on her day off to help us out. We wholeheartedly recommend this property if you’re looking for a home away from home and a taste of paradise!

I stayed on the ground floor sea facing apartment which was perfect for immediate access to the pool and beach but also direct sea views from working at the dining table. The hosting was brilliant with a mix of highest of service with emotional intelligence (I wanted a peaceful time here after allot of work commitments so I was left alone in a low key way but if I needed anything the team were a WhatsApp away and responded in minutes). They also have cable here and fiber so could watch and relax with movies in the evening. I was provided with a life vest (as I said I had lost the ability to swim through time) that was transported here within 24hrs to aid my rehabilitation and relationship to water and sea, this was their idea which talks to the emotional intelligence point. I was provided a bike within 1 hour when waking up and deciding to cycle around the town...and I could go on. Breakfast is varied and flexible to what you would like and fresh and at the time you desire. The apartment is in the perfect area of the beach as can get busy either side of it as more hotels down each side of the beach but I had day after day of peacefulness here with amazing views and did 7km walks either side of the property on the sand. Sunrise and sunset was surreal at times.....

Super séjour en famille ! L’appartement familial est très spacieux, l’équipe est très sympathique, les petits déjeuners sont extra et la vue splendide :-)
