Great hotel avoid Fridays if you want to sleep.
Pros:

Location was good, Rooms size and decor fantastic

Cons:

Very loud music till midnight due to a wedding. It would have been nice to be warned before arrival so we could decide if to move.

Good location, friendly & helpful staff; room could be improved.
Pros:

Excellent location & very useful to have a bar & bistro on the premises. The room was a reasonable size & nicely decorated. The staff were friendly & helpful.

Cons:

The carpet was badly stained which gives a bad first impression & the amenities, although attractive are not very practical. Tiny tables, no desk or table at a suitable height for a laptop; a tiny awkward to use sink. Just not functional enough for us.

Pros:

Nice large, clean, comfortable room. Ocean facing across the road through town with ocean/beach glimpses through trees. Reception and restaurant staff were very friendly

Cons:

Cost. Far higher than other places we've stayed which have been better in terms of quality and value for money.

Beautiful room, need to respond to emails/ calls
Pros:

Stayed in the triple room, beautiful and huge.

Cons:

Couldn’t get hold of the hotel to arrange check in after reception closed. Numerous emails (inc via booking.com) ignored, phone calls on the day unable to be connected, call to the booking line is overseas- incredibly stressful to worry we’d arrive and not be able to access our room.

Historical quaint stay seaside in Lorne!
Pros:

A great stay at this historic and quaint Hotel. Tiffany, the hotel manager personally checked us in and we were provided 2 complimentary drink tickets to the bar!

Cons:

The Hotel is old, so carpets are a bit worn in hallways but it just added to the charm

A lovely place to stay in Lorne
Pros:

You can stay in this gorgeous historic hotel that has a few different dining venues in it suit everyone. The Family Room was fabulous and the hotel is in the Centre of Lorne right on the ocean. The staff are very friendly and helpful too.

From arrival to departure we felt like very special guests and would love to return for a longer stay in the future!
Pros:

Excellent location, amazing staff, beautiful accommodation - the obviously recently upgraded shower room was really impressive. Facilities in the room (mini bar, snacks, coffee machine) were a great touch - and our free drink was much appreciated! Loved the beer garden - even though it was raining we were able to enjoy the outdoors under cover!

Cons:

Having to carry our bags up the stairs wasn’t great (although we were aware of this beforehand). Our “seaview” balcony was obstructed by a very overgrown tree that could be pruned a bit! Also our very nice outdoor furniture had black mould on the cushions from being left out in the wet too often so we didn’t feel comfy sitting on our balcony unfortunately.
