Pros:

J’ai passé un excellent séjour au Pondok Is Oke Luxury Bungalow.
Le personnel était adorable et la nourriture excellente.
Le paysage autour est magnifique et la chambre donne directement sur la piscine.
L’équipe est aux petits soins et donne d’excellents conseils (possibilité de prendre un taxi, sites pour réserver le ferry, laverie etc.)☺️

Series of Unfortunate Events
Pros:

The view

The nice Mas Wisnu ( if I get his name correctly )

Cons:

Everything soon turned into a nightmare.
There were a series of problems with the amenities and facility, which were resolved quickly following an episode of rage on my behalf.

One mega project that this establishment still needs to work on is, in my opinion, the quality of service they offer -- both to local guests and foreigners. The locals are afterall paying guests too.

And honestly, with the level of service they give us, we feel unwanted. I couldn't wait to leave.

Although this whole stay was a total letdown for us, I would still recommend Pondok Is Oke to those seeking serenity and unity with nature without sacrificing comfort.

Update: the internet went down completely since day 2 and just before we left, the electricity was completely gone, but we just had no strength to voice another complaint. Enough is enough.

Highly recommended!
Pros:

Wonderful stay in the midst of a beautiful garden. Hosts are very warm and welcoming. Nice little restaurant with tasty food mostly sourced from their organic garden. They gave us a wonderful tour, showing all the foods that they grow on site. They provided us with delicious fruit right off their trees. We also did their private Mount Ijen tour in the morning. No need to go up in the middle of the night in my opinion. The blue flame is not present for the time being

Charme et nature
Pros:

Hôtel très mignon à l’écart de l’agitation, la chambre était propre, grande salle de bain avec tout le nécessaire.
Le personnel est adorable et nous avons très bien mangé, c’était simple mais très bien préparé et assaisonné j’ai adoré j’aimerais trouver ce genre de restaurant partout.

Cons:

Il faudrait juste aérer un peu la salle de bain qui était un peu humide mais je pense que c’est normal en cette saison des pluies.

Quiet, cozy place!
Pros:

Amazing place! Rooms were quiet, clean and cozy. Breakfast was very good and they arranged a fun Ijen tour for us in addition to a taxi ride to the harbor for the ferry to Bali. Fresh pineapple and mulberry juice were so yummy and the smoothie bowl gorgeous. The wifi was strong and the AC was the best we've had on our trip.

Very beautiful property, beautiful room and balcony.
The mosquito net was very nice and didn't have holes.
I love the coconut soap they provide!

Cons:

The wifi is very weak and only reached on the balcony and not inside the room.
The receptionist was a bit slow and seemed to have no clue.
We ordered breakfast on the day of my birthday but unfortunately it was really not good food.
We stayed two nights, one before and one after our jungle trekking when we came back the bed seemed very dirty somehow with lots of little pieces of dirt on it. I am sure the sheets were washed it just felt very dirty especially compared to the week before when we had stayed.

L'hôte et le personnel sont adorables. Nous avons eu le droit aux fruits du jardin tous les matins, un cocktail de bienvenue, et les repas sont très bons.
La chambre est grande et le lit confortable

Cons:

Le moins était clairement la proximité avec un lieu de prière. L'appel à 3h30 du matin n'est pas des plus agréable.

Pros:

Het was fantastisch! Een zeer comfortabel appartement voor 3 nachten, fijn bed, goede airconditioning, fijne badkamer en het beste van alles was het eten en de vriendelijkheid en gastvrijheid van de eigenaren. We waren daar voor de Ijen nachtwandeling die we via de gastvrouw en heer heel eenvoudig konden boeken voor een goede prijs. Het was erg leuk om daarnaast tijd te hebben om rond te wandelen door het dorp, wat nog heel authentiek en weinig toeristisch is. De eigenaresse heeft ons haar tuin laten zien en van het fruit en de suikerriet laten proeven, en had veel goede tips voor ons. Taxiservice konden ze ook heel goed regelen. Echt een aanrader voor meerdere dagen!

Cons:

Iets om rekening mee te houden is de oproep voor ochtendgebed, voor zonsopkomst, aangezien het gebedshuis dichtbij staat. Mocht je een lichte slaper zijn, dan kunnen oordopjes wel fijn zijn.

Rien ! Endroit idéal pour qui veut se reposer, se balader, profiter d une petite baignade en piscine.
Bien situé pour le Ijen. Départ à 3h car nous ne tenions pas à voir les flammes bleues. Sans regrets car nous avons pu accéder aux crêtes pour le lever de soleil sans la foule et redescendre tranquillement après que la foule arrivée tôt pour les Blue fire ne soit repartie.

La chambre et, de manière générale, l'établissement sont supers jolis et cosy. La chambre et la salle de bain sont spacieuses et décorées avec goût. Une bouilloire avec café et thé sont à disposition dans la chambre.
Boisson et encas offerts par le personnel à notre arrivée. Personnel serviable.
Malheureusement il a plu tout le long de notre séjour donc nous n'avons pas pu profiter de cette belle piscine.

Beautiful accommodation in a lovely village among the rice paddies
Pros:

Beautiful large room with comfortable bed, swimming pool, set in a lush tropical garden. Owners were very generous and helpful, providing snacks and fruit from their garden, organising transport and tours, organising laundry and massages for very reasonable prices. The warung at the other end of the village (Bu Widy) does delicious local food. The village is very friendly with children high-fiving us every time we walked up the street. Interesting to watch the rice fields being prepared and planted out.

Cons:

No negative, just a few tips for future travellers. Location a bit isolated so dependent on own transport or having the owners organise it (although that was part of the appeal for us). Mostly very quiet, but good to shift your body clock to fit around waking up for calls to prayer at the local mosque (convenient for waking up to go to Ijen).
If you need an English speaking guide as well as a driver for tours, make sure to check this in advance - Putri came up Ijen with us, which was great as she was able to explain things to us, the other day we had a shorter tour just with her cousin driving, so didn't get any explanations. He was still very helpful and took us to a traditional wedding festival along the way when he heard the music playing - a highlight of that day.
