We stayed only one night at The Belmont - we did not use the facilities.
our room was very well decorated and comfortable

Cons:

Breakfast is not served at this establishment.

only after our stay did we read the reviews and found out that there were indeed a communal sitting area and kitchen.

reception did not inform us of these facilities

Pros:

Prachtig mooi huis met mooi ingerichte kamers. Een babybedje was geen enkel probleem. Airco op de kamer. Een straat verwijderd van de hoofdstraat. Gratis parkeren. Leuke binnentuin met zwembad.

Cons:

We hadden een kamer met een bad geboekt. De volgende keer zou ik een kamer met douche boeken maar we zouden hier zeker terugkomen.

Exceptional boutique guesthouse in centre of Franschhoek
Pros:

Beautiful rooms, very comfortable. A lot of thought put in to every detail. Fantastic outdoor kitchen area with pool. We loved the location, right in the centre of Franschhoek. . .short walk to lots of restaurants and the wine tram. Shame we couldn’t have stayed longer, would highly recommend

Excellent, made super special by Florence.
Pros:

The Belmont exceeded our expectations. Excellent location and we loved the self catering facilities for breakfast and light meals. Florence was superb and made our stay extra special.

Cons:

We were 3 in 2 rooms. I found the Bath difficult to climb in and out and the hand shower a bit awkward. A simple shower cubicle would have been much better if not so aesthetically pleasing. My companions loved their room, including proper shower.

Posizione eccellente a Franschoek. Residenza calma e ben tenuta. Personale cordialissimo, l’arredo delle stanze molto originale

Cons:

Nulla in particolare, forse l’unico piccolo difetto è stato vedere la piscina a volte non pulitissima. Ma c’era spesso vento e arrivavamo a fine giornata perciò ci può stare.
