Hotel Oasis

Dear readers,

I have lived in London for the past 18 years, and it was great to visit my beloved Kapan after such a long absence!

I needed a place to stay, so I found an Oasis hotel on booking.com!

It was a pleasure to meet the owner of the hotel Edgar and his lovely wife Maria! Wonderful warm people with great hospitality!!

They both went the extra mile helping with everything I needed guidance for! Edgar didn't hesitate a second to send a taxi for me because I found it a bit difficult to find a location. It's just me, I was absent from Kapan for too long!! :):)

Lovely Edgar & Maria made absolutely sure that I was comfortable and happy!

The breakfast was superb! Maria made such a lovely special tea with local wonderful herbs, and her amazing handmade organic peach jam was a cherry on a cake!! SPLENDID.

Moreover, I discovered a heavenly garden on the grounds of the hotel with Sharon fruit! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw huge orange ripe Sharon fruit hanging from many trees. It was a paradise I encountered on 26th September 2025! I'm speechless to describe my astonishment and excitement from the site of that stunning garden of Sharon fruit!! 🥰

The room was very spacious and the bed was excellent. The rooms, stairs and restaurant were cleaned almost every day.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the exceptional hospitality. The staff members are incredibly kind, welcoming, and they truly go above and beyond to make you feel at home.

The rooms are top-notch: spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. You can tell that every detail has been carefully thought out to ensure a relaxing experience.

If you're looking for a place where high-quality service meets genuine kindness, this is it. I can't recommend this hotel enough and I look forward to coming back soon!

This was definitely one of the highlights of my stays during my three weeks in Armenia! The owner, Edgar, and his wife run this quaint hotel set back in the old industrial area of Kapan. While some might overlook this area, it’s a quiet area tucked away among old Soviet factories – perfect for the adventurer and getting to see the true side of Kapan.

I was welcomed by Edgar and his hospitality upon my arrival to the hotel. He showed me everything, including the common area and my spacious and well-laid out room. It turns out that the hotel building was an administrative building of an old factory which Edgar’s father owned. It was thoughtfully remodeled last year and turned into a hotel.

I had a wonderful night sleep and felt well-rested. It was very clean inside and bright. In the morning, I enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast made by Edgar’s wife, including fruit from their garden. This was top-notch hospitality and my only regret is that I didn’t stay longer!

I spoke to Edgar in Russian, but I believe that he speaks English too. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about his hometown of Kapan. Upon my arrival and departure, he gave me fruit from the fruit trees in front of and on the side of the hotel – pears and apples. He said that he is planning to plant kiwi vines soon – so maybe I’ll have to be back in the future for the kiwi!
