Location is excellent, the private room is massive by Tokyo standards. Staff were lovely and let us check in early and leave our bags there after check out. Would absolutely stay here again. Very easy to get to, quite side street, but close to two train stations.

Ubicacion excelente. La cama y la habitacion muy comoda para extranjeros. La calle sobre la que esta la estancia no es de las mejorcitas de Tokyo pero esta muy cerca de 2 estaciones. Caminar por la zona fue lindo y esta lleno de negocios para comprar cosas. El servicio estuvo muy bien y el sector compartido nos ayudo mucho para poder comer y lavar la ropa.

Friendly staff, very prompt replies. Japanese style room, so don't expect a desk. But a low table you can sit at with some cushions on the floor is available. No dryer only a washer but you can use racks and hangers to dry clothes in your room if you want too, otherwise a coin laundry is nearby.
Bath was small for a person of my stature, but still enjoyable. Toilet was only a warmlet not a washlet, but not a problem. A warm toilet seat is already such a luxury in my opinion. The hotel further provided: toothbrushes, cups, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. All adequate I would say.
The location is fantastic, the hotel is tucked away in a side street of the more crowded route 433 running under both Okubo and Shin-Okubo station. So you have direct train access (no changes) to both all Yamanote destinations through Shin-Okubo station, and Nakano (Broadway) through Okubo station. And I have to say, these are nice cosy stations. Shin-Okubo station is small, but does have a Starbucks with a view of the trains running by.
If that's your thing kabukicho is a short walk away.
Furthermore, besides your usual konbinis there is both an internet cafe (Manboo) and a Donki-hote at 1~2 minutes walking distance. I really can't overstate how great of a location this is.
The remote for one of the ceiling lights didn't work, and it turned out wasn't meant for my room at all. No big deal, just a slight inconvenience, you can just use the switches on the wall instead. As mentioned before, no desk, I realized I needed one afterwards for some work, on the other hand an internet cafe is very nearby. There was a TV in the room which also didn't work, but then again it also wasn't listed in the amenities provided so I really can't fault them for that.
Also, the walls are really thin, old Japanese house, so again, par for the course, but do realize you might be enjoying somebody's snores or conversations from time to time. Having said that, for me it never became a problem. For other's the room came with earplugs provided for if you need them, so clearly the staff knows some people might be troubled by the noise.

Localização perfeita, pertinho do metrô e de loja de conveniência, don quijote, burger king e mc, basicamente tem o que precisar por perto! O quarto é gigante, muito confortável e quentinho (o ar condicionado funciona como aquecedor no inverno)

Don't be put off just because its not in the middle of Shinjuku, its a super quick train ride away and either station is less than 5 minutes walk from this hotel. Great location between two train stations and a vibrant area with alot of restaurants
