Pros:

It was a good location and the room was nice.

Cons:

The spa was expensive and a number of facilities not in use. Breakfast was badly organised and food was poor. Food and drink was expensive. I wouldn't stay again.

A short but wonderful stay in a grade iconic building in the very heart of Buxton.
Pros:

Wonderful location for this historic grade 1 listed beautiful building. Built in the 1700s and now fully refurbished to a very high standard.

Cons:

Drop of parking but then need to find local street pay parking or use the £30 valet service which did work very well but an added expense.

Enjoyable stay relaxing in a beautiful location inside and out.
Pros:

The location was amazing , beautiful building in the heart of Buxton. Lounge was relaxing and interesting plenty of seating options and space without feeling crowded. Located next to the slopes and the botanical gardens meant we had a lovely stroll after dinner.

Breakfast was good quality lots of both hot and cold buffet with lots of options.

Roof top pool was lovely especially while the sun was out. Spa facilities were also good nice and relaxing .
We enjoyed the outdoor seating area next to the cafe again this was nice place to sit while taking a break from the spa facilities and have a drink.

Room was a good size , bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing. On the front side so lovely big windows and a beautiful view across the crescent, nice and quiet no noise to disturb a good nights sleep.

Cons:

Although the pools were good the rooftop would benefit from more loungers / seating.

Only one of the lower pools were available and the essence steam room downstairs was out of order while we were there which was a shame. Over all what was available was lovely.
The facilities were clean but felt in places a little tired (Windows with black mildew and beetles along a sill in the outdoor pool) but didn’t ruin the stay.

Pros:

Good size room. Large comfortable bed.. Excellent modern bathroom. Great spa facilities.
Hotel is in centre of Buxton.

Cons:

Parking is a problem and expensive, especially if you are frequently using your car.
The tv is too small for the room.
Costs are unclear and there are add ons.
I didn't like a large % added to the bill for restairant service. It is 'optional' if you wish to ask your young waiting member of staff to take it off the bill! Here's an idea - pay staff a reasonable wage and avoid small print costs for customers!
