Villa Nelli

The management were very "hands off" There were no instructions on check in procedure beforehand or any other information for that matter. I had messaged a couple of times prior to our arrival but had not response. We had to ask other residents by the pool on the day of our arrival how we could get into our room. We were told there was a hand written note on the notice board in reception at the back of the reception desk with a list of names and our room number that we had not noticed and the key was in the room.
It was not possible to park on the road near the property so we had to park on the main road into the town which was not far but a busy road and we were worried about damage to the hire car. When we fleetingly saw someone who worked there 2 days later we enquired about parking and they advised that we could pay to park on a piece of ground nearby for 3 Euros a day if we contacted the owner of the land who lived at the top of the road. It would have been very helpful if we had been advised of this earlier. The apartment was good apart from the small kitchen area which in itself was a Health and Safety nightmare. There was one trailing socket which was used for the coffee machine/kettle/microwave/toaster and small hob. The hob was free standing and placed on top of the inbuilt one which was broken. The lead had to be stretched to the trailing socket making it a bit dodgy from a safety pint of view. The kitchen area was very small and all food prep/kitchen appliances and eating had to take place on a small table. The fridge door opened the wrong way making it difficult to put stuff in and out of the fridge. I know this sounds like a lot, but it would only take a little effort to put these things right and then I would be happy to give them a 5 star review.

The room number 106 that we had was old, I need a good renovation. not the same standard as early rooms.

I found the bed very firm.

Geruch im Badezimmer, sehr viele Mücken im Appartement bei der Anreise, laute Poolpumpe direkt vor der Terrasse im Erdgeschoss (Zimmer 101). Die Buchung erfolgte nach Zusage, ein Zimmer im oberen Stockwerk zu bekommen, was nicht erfolgte. Ein Handtuch -Austausch innerhalb von 5 Nächten wäre schön gewesen.

Some guests before us had used plates, bowls etc and put them back in the cupboard without washing them.. seriously….who does that?!!
Providing some washing up liquid and a cloth might have helped avoid this, there is literally nothing provided beyond a tiny tea towel and one toilet roll.
If you’re staying for a week or more and don’t mind buying all the essentials in the well stocked local supermarkets then it’s fine. Somewhere else we stayed had an area where people could leave things they had bought for their stay for other guests, I think this would be a nice idea, we left everything behind, hopefully of use to the next guests in room 106.

Needs washing up liquid and scouring pads to clean crockery. Towels a bit thin and need changing during 4 night stay.

Kitchen equipment limited

The room was a little tired in appearance but honestly who really cares as long as it’s clean.
